If Ole Miss hires Miles and they beat LSU ... this site will shut down

I'm just thinking of the irony of it all. I never fathomed Miles in the SEC West. If somehow he got the Ole Miss job and if he somehow won the LSU game, the reaction would be ... interesting.

I don't want that to happen, of course. Go ahead and down vote even the thought of it. I'll down vote my own post. But, the idea of it would be beyond comprehension. It would boggle the mind, actually.

Edit: LSU plays Ole Miss and Alabama in back to back games this year. Oh boy.

One can hope.

If either does, we're in for quite a ride.

It would kinda be this bizarre irony. I only wish that those who hoped for Miles to get the job so they could watch him fail could somehow be singled out.

I'd probably laugh my arse off. How could it be anything further than what we'd deserve? National media would be all over us.

If Miles did in fact go to OM, there is no way in hell a coach that only likes to run the ball in between the tackles will succeed coaching a team built for doing just the opposite. That's like saying Art Briles would be good at Stanford.

He'd have to completely rebuild that team over a 3-5 year span which I know OM alumni, Admin, and fans would never sit there and say "Boy 5 years from now, we'll be sorta competitive in the SEC."

No way does OM give him that job unless they want to be completely irrelevant for the next decade.

Disaster scenario:

Miles gets the Ole Miss job. He somehow leads Ole Miss to a win on October 21st against Orgeron coached LSU.

Two weeks later, Saban beats LSU again.

There aren't even words for what would happen here. LSU's two greatest coaches beating LSU on back to back weeks while at the helms of Ole Miss and Alabama. That's some bad luck right there.

Ole miss hiring miles is unlikely.

Miles beating LSU is a different story

I think it's almost guaranteed that if he gets the Ole Miss job he will run a wide open, air raid offense. He would absolutely love to troll LSU like that. I wouldn't blame him.

Well that's a risk you take and it's a risk I'm willing to take. Regardless of the future success or failure Miles has doesn't change the fact that it was time for him to leave LSU.

It wasn't just that he couldn't beat Bama, it was that we would collapse after that game the rest of the season and he refused to ever really do anything to change the offense.

We just have to stop the three plays he would run.

I'd die of laughter; however, that would require Ole Miss to win a football game

Stupid response. That would be idiocy on his part more than anything. He was begged... BEGGED to revamp the offense and was either too stubborn or inept to do so. Doesn't make sense to troll a program that you got yourself fired from only to then put into place the exact offense that would have secured your original job. If anything, the troll job happened while Les was still LSU's coach.

Also, Les beating O would be a job killer for O.

Miles beats Lsu every month out of 133k.
Not that it's hard to find tons of fault with Aleeva but giving this guy a raise and extension has to be in the top 5.
