Who is more revered in Louisiana Sports Lore? Joe Burrow or Drew Brees? Obviously Burrow had a much smaller resume but his season and championship would arguably be as impressive and meaningful to the state (and certainly Baton Rouge) as what Brees has done.

Brees

The only sports person that can take the throne from Brees is a coach because of longevity

Would depend on whether you are a bigger tiger fan or saints fan. If i had the option of LSU winning a national title or the Saints winning 2 super bowls I would take that Natty

Joe in the long run. Look at how celebrated Cannon was/is even after his missteps.

There is something about college football that make it mean more and last longer. Maybe because there are so many more LSU grads who are affiliated with LSU where the Saints are just a pro sports team.

Really depends on if you like LSU more or not

To most of my family, we all love LSU, but really couldn't care much for the Saints. So it would be Burrow for us.

If Burrow some how lands in a Saints uniform during his NFL career and delivers a Lombardi trophy...that’s the only way he will dethrone Brees.

Lol Brees by a landslide. You are comparing a college QB to a Hall of fame QB who won a super bowl. A Super Bowl dwarfs a national championship

Burrow without a doubt. It’s Louisiana State University after all. Not going anywhere. How many times have owners threatened to move the Saints.

Not even close! Drew Brees...Alltime NFL passing leader,Superbowl champion,Superbowl MVP, most consecutive 300 yard games...shall I go on, and we are talking about at the highest level, but then again its all according to if youre a NCAA or NFL person. No knock on Joe but its kinda hard to compare a NFL alltime great and future Hall of famer to a kid thats had one of the greatest seasons that college football has ever seen, but I salute Joe cause he's one bad mf!

Before Burrow, LSU had won 3 NCs, 2 in the last 15 years, and another NCG appearance.

Before Brees, the Saints had never gotten past the divisional round. Brees has gone to the NFCCG game 3 time, winning one and then winning a Super Bowl, a level of success the Saints never sniffed before.

It’s clearly Brees.
