If all of the power conferences finish this season and there is a playoff, I think everyone's impression of this being an "exhibition"season will change drastically.

I mostly agree with you. It basically is an exhibition season. As defending champs LSU really kind of has to put out a best effort but if I was a middling kind of program this season I would do some experimental stuff just to see what works. Something crazy like 'line changes' or having two QBs in the game at all times. Stuff that you wouldn't do normally but maybe you want to see how it would work in real game environments. The biggest detriment to that is the already limited practice time cuts in to what can realistically be implemented. Regardless, I expect some wildcards to be thrown down by a number of teams at some point.

Probably not with the schedule we have leading up til then but the 3 weeks following the start of the B1G season would put us over the top. We would then have Victories over UF, AU, and Bama.

What will suck would be if you have 2 sunbelt teams (ULL and APP State) ranked in the top 20 potentially and then they get bumbed from the rankings because the cowardly bigger schools decided to join the dance late.

What, are you nuts? Just because there are less fans in the stands and Covid present doesn't make the season any different than in the past. Sure, some games will be cancelled, but sobeit. A national championship is a national championship, regardless.

Ohio State will be 8-0 and ranked #1 or #2 going into the cfp. Book it. 8-0 at Ohio State will be treated just like 11-0 at Clemson or Oklahoma.
