If LSU Establishes and Sticks to the Run

We've talked about how LSU is a running game away from being a competent offense. If we establish the run the same way we did in the 1st half of the A&M game and actually stick to it, how many points do we put up? Let's say for hypothetical purposes that we run it 30 times for 5 yards per carry - what would be the domino effect of that?
For one, it will greatly affect our ability to finish in the redzone - we saw that materialize with a finished drive to take the lead against A&M when we still hadn't given up on the running game yet. I think we put up 24ish if we genuinely establish the run and stick with it.
Second, it'll force Alabama into some single high coverage, and our mismatch WRs (Trey'dez, AA1, Barion, Zavion) can eat them up in one on one matchups. Not sure how much I really trust Nuss and the OL at this point to provide a passing game, but at least there could be fewer moments where Nuss is getting pressure throwing into 7/8 man coverages. Less opportunity for Nuss to make critical mistakes.
Last, it will keep the defense off the damn field. We lost the time of possesion battle in all 3 losses. Best way to give the defense a hand is to keep them off the field.

If Nuss is the QB? We will definitely put up less than 24 points.

Well said.
The fact we didn't try to establish the run more under Sloan was frustrating. We showed the ability to run at times and he just refused to run it consistently. Not only was Sloan's play calling very predictable, but it never allowed the offense to establish the run. He'd call run plays sporadically and that's just not an effective way to try to run the ball.
I also think it would've helped take some pressure off our offensive line as well. They're not that good, but the play calling certainly didn't help - in many different ways.

as long as we don't call plays like a 12 year old playing a video game, I think the offense will do a lot better than what they have to this point.

1st and 10 after a 40 yard gain? Let's run a 7 yard comeback route.
2nd and 9 after a quick 1 yard gain? Why don't we go back to the hitch route for 8 yards.
3rd and 6? You guessed it, 3 yard hitch.
1st and goal from the 2 yardline and you absoolutely need a TD so you've got 4 plays to score? Let's first give the ball to Jujuan Johnson 2 times, then run an RPO, then kick a FG because we lost so many yards on the possession.
I hope Atkins gives Berry 15 touches and targets Green every single play inside the 10.

A 12 year old playing a video game would at least throw it to the 6'7 tight end in the red zone.

Honestly, all offenses played better last few weeks not great, but our defense has really sucked and that’s whats been our biggest problem the last few weeks

I think more rushing attempts would be a start. Johnson(4.7), Durham(4.8), and Berry (4.9) are all just under 5 YPC on the year. Durham has more runs of 20 yards or more (6), Berry has 1, Johnson has 1, and Zavion Thomas has 1.
These are just the raw stats. Both Berry and Durham did very well in limited carries in the last two games.
Berry - 5.0 YPC vs Vandy, 6.6 YPC vs aTm in 20 total carries
aTm - 8.4 YPC vs Vandy, 7.2 YPC vs aTm in 12 total carries
