If Bech moves in to Taylor's spot for half the plays, Bech becomes a problem.

A problem for opposing defenses.

I understand that placing Bech in the TE position signals to the defense that you are going to pass the ball but I contend at this point Bech can run block just as well as Taylor so the play calling does not suffer.

I love Taylor but he is a true freshman and to generate a little more offense Bech should be seeing the ball in his place. Jack Bech has too much game.

I focus on Bech because JD only seems capable of throwing to his outlet receivers and Malik.

It just doesn't seem like Denbrock is utilizing offensive personnel to their fullest potential.

You think? This is the guy who for half the season had Kole Taylor playing in 2 TE sets instead of running more WR stacked sets. I'm pretty sure BK told him to fix it which is why they don't seem to be running it anymore.

He's not creative enough to put Bech in that position. He's literally a mirror image of Cam Cameron/Gary Crowton. Forcing the square peg in round hole. He's a dinosaur that has a perfectly fine scheme when he has the personnel to run it. When he doesn't, he sure as shite isn't going to get creative to adjust it to player personnel strengths. I expect WRs to leave after this season or lose them in the recruiting class.

Bech can't catch passes 2 yards behind him or 2 yards over his head. JD is the problem. JD has missed open receivers all season. The same open receivers running the Denbrock offense. It'll be a shock if JD has more than 10 td passes this season. That's Anthony Jennings bad.

I don't understand how coordinators can get stale like this. Matt House is doing exactly the opposite on the defensive side the the ball. He is using the personal available to him at what appears to their fullest potential.

Kelly probably needs to get involved in the offense and start challenging Denbrock of why he's doing things the way he is doing them.

Especially the paly calling. It was atrocious last night. Instead calling long developing pass plays early how about mixing in some short passes on early downs then after a few successful attempts work in the longer developing plays?

Taylor is in the slot a third of the time anyway. They like that he can flex out without having to sub.

Bech needs to be on the field though.

Our WR have trouble catching anything off center and sometimes they have issues with that.

If those same passes that went to Taylor last night went to Bech the results would have been much more positive.

I think the only way to know is to give this a try. The offense is awful. Something must be changed.

Don't be naive. BK has his hand in the offense too. Why do you think he hired Denbrock? He wanted Rees before him don't forget that.

To NFL as a WR or RB, hopefully.

Doesn't matter where he goes. BK isn't going to put up with this crap for another season. He has choices and those choices won't include JD.

Really ? Why ? Taylor is taller and longer and JD still couldn't hit him.

Why do people keep saying this? LSU had NFL wide receivers while Les Miles was running toss dive 40 times a game. I think one season of unproductive QB play with a first year coaching staff isn’t going to scare players off.

Because transfer portal exists now where nobody has to sit and wait. They can just up and go straight to a college that they know has a QB that can feed them the ball with no consequences for the transfer or needing to sit out a year. Comparing Miles football and applying it to modern era now is stupid. Pay attention to football now.

Also true for qb's who want to transfer to teams with stud wr's.

Which is why I'm hoping Daniels bolts and we get a stud in portal. Daniels doesn't have it throwing. He won't have it, I'm sorry. He just doesn't. You're not going to coach confidence in a guy who simply does not understand simple concepts like clearing a defender or throwing the ball on a break from a timing route. If he doesn't understand that by now, he'll never grasp it in big boy league. He's a good guy and extremely talented athletically as well as his feet. He's simply not a throwing QB. The experiment should be over at the end of this season and they should pursue hopefully an elite QB in the portal. I'm convinced Nuss is not the guy either because if they won't even put him in looking at how stagnant the offense is with Daniels at the helm he must be really bad. Not surprising though, he looked really bad against Arkansas last year. Maybe another year and he'll develop who knows. Daniels isn't going to grasp the passing attack in a year's time though. There's tons of little league things he doesn't even grasp in throwing concepts. He doesn't have it, sorry.
