Is it maybe possible he is trying to learn how to play defense with an offense that scores as quick as we do???? He’s never had that luxury

Who would you hire to replace him?

I feel like there’s more than person in the country that could get us better than a top 50 defense.

I’d say goodbye. He’s a very good defensive coordinator, but as I’ve been saying for years, we could name that tune cheaper.
same here. I don't want him fired or anything, but that's a bridge too far.

There's lots of defensive minds out there that can do just fine with the talent we recruit. Losing Aranda wouldn't break us, isn't going to make us.

Frankly, the ONLY worry I have with the name Aranda is that we MIGHT, too early to know yet, see a decline in D recruiting due to some of the luster/reputation being knocked off him. But I really don't see that happening in the future. Just something to watch for.

And to the ‘Who would you hire to take his place?” Crowd, I don’t know - some young coordinator working for Utah or some mid-major. Hell, I couldn’t have named Brady last year.

The odds of finding another Brady is astronomical.

His defenses the last 3 years have been among the most fundamentally sound in the country

He’s also been neck deep in high draft linemen. We on the other hand have had a few late rounders.

Not with the players we have and the speed at which our offense scores.

Have you fricking seen the defensive haul we are about to bring in this year? It’s insane.
