We want Oregon more than OU for sure

I don’t want Lincoln Riley to have a month to scheme and with Hurts and Lamb they could do damage

I too think that is the most likely, but things are still wide open. We could easily see something like 1. LSU, 2. Clemson, 3. Oregon, 4. Penn State. I think the only guarantee at this point is Clemson in the top 3.

Once LSU makes the playoff, prepare for some battles.

Ohio State, Clemson, Oregon, Oklahoma etc. are all good squads. But, yes, it'd be nice to see the two biggest perceived threats (OSU & Clemson) duke it out in semifinals.

Oregon isn't a cake walk. Although it was the first game of the season, they looked to be the better team vs Auburn.
Their QB is an NFL talent. And they seem to actually have a defense. LSU still probably wins due to how good the offense is (if Bo Nix can beat them, Joe can bury them).

OU has been stopped alot this year. KState and Baylor are the obvious examples. But their scheme is also built that if they aren't having success early, they are also working to tire defenses out... and no one has stopped them late in the game.

This has to concern LSU fans because the LSU defense seems to bend a whole lot in the 2nd half (UT, Bama, Ole Miss, etc). Add in the fact that Hurts is very dangerous in the dual threat role, as LSU fans know.
I don't really like the OU offense vs LSU defense matchup.
On the other hand, OU's defense is garbage and would be lucky to get more than a handful of stops vs LSU. It would likley look similar to all of the CFP games OU has lost.

If I had to choose between the two, give me Oregon. I'd prefer the matchup of LSU DBs vs Herbert over LSU LBs vs Hurts.

After that ole miss game and OSU beats penn state we will move to 2. It'll be a tight race and will depend on how they play georgia in the secg. HUGE diff though on getting clemson rather than oregon for those who said who cares if we are 1 or 2

This prediction is with us beating a number 4 georgia team. I think you can't deny the number one spot to someone who has beaten 5 teams that were ranked in the top 10 during the season. Not sure if anyone has done that before a NC game.

Agreed but doesn't look like the committee is looking at that as much as they should. OSU could blow out 5 unranked teams and if LSU played 5 ranked teams and 2 blow outs and 3 close it looks like they would favor OSU as"the best team". Osu will play 3 top 25 teams down the stretch though while lsu will play 1 top 4. It will depend on scores

This is the very thing that the BCS stopped but the media screamed because they could not influence the formulas. The best thing they could do is take the top 4 teams based on the BCS formulas. We are back to the beauty contest system and it sucks.

100%..should have still used the BCS with committee or needs to be 8 teams and take away total control the committee has. They give us nothing..even from the sounds of it is doesnt matter the schedule or who you lose to its THEIR "best 4 teams"

Before any of this, theres the Aggies AND the Bulldogs.
Stay focused.
If LSu wins out they will play the 4 seed. Not playing ClemP son or The Ohio State University is the easiest path to a championship, it would seem.
I wonder what Vegas will have the line in the SEC final?

disagree.

1. LSU
2. Penn State
3. Oklahoma
4. Utah

ETA: would require tOSU to lose to Penn State and Michigan and for Clemson to lose a game. If Clemson loses any game on their crap schedule, they should be out.

Ohio State could very well lose a game, but Clemson won't. If UGA beats us, I'd argue that they should be seeded ahead of Clemson, but they won't.

There is no way that possibility would happen ha penn state isnt beating OSU....Clemson def not losing...and no clue how OU is even in there.
