I’m bringing in Kling or even Jones in that situation. Pearson looked bad his first 2 at bats against these lefties.

I wouldn’t have had him in the 2 hole today.

This team doesn’t even try to do anything
Steal
Hit and run
Can’t get bunt down
It’s home run or nothing but k’s
They gonna lose supers

Yep, assuming they sub Kling for him now.

I don’t mind that they don’t do all that because you don’t wanna run yourself out of an inning with a lineup like this.

Fill out job application, cross fingers, and get the head coaching gig. Make adjustments as you see fit. And after they don’t work out, prepare to get blasted by people who know a lot more about baseball than you ever will.

Pearson, Jobert and Beloso should never be in the lineup against good lefties. They really have trouble seeing the ball against them. One out of the three we got right today anyhow.

I’m not claiming to know more baseball than Jay. But IMO it was pretty obvious to bring in Kling or Jones there to possibly tie the game. Especially Pearson looking like he did against these good left handers.

Such a dumb fanbase.

The board is for discussion. OP was right IMO.

He’s probably decided Pearson will be in the lineup the rest of the way so he’s maximizing his AB’s vs watching Jones K or Kling fly out.

You do realize we have like 10 hits and all of them are singles, correct?

What I’m saying is it’s easy to form an opinion after the fact. If Pearson gets a hit in that situation then this conversation wouldn’t take place. CJJ is a proven winning coach. We are not. When I saw Cooper walking to the mound I was like “aw shite here we go” but he pitched great. Trust in CJJ is all I’m saying. It’s easier for us to “coach” after you’ve seen what happens.
