While the degree of his involvement was subject to a lot of debate, we know that CLM at least told his OCs to focus on emphasizing the run and pounding the ball. Which was understandable, given that we had Hester, Scott, Ridley, Ware, Hill, and Fournette among others.
However, when he trusted the QB (Russell, Flynn, Mett), he would let them air it out.

But this year, we don't really have that 20+ carry bell cow. Our best back, CEH, is more of a shifty "in space guy". At the same time, we don't have a QB that he would trust to pass a lot.

It was a position he was never in, and I would be interested to see how he approached it.

I think we would have gotten Cam Akers

Not sure how he would handle this group.

No one wants to see how Les would handle this offense.

I agree. We also would have gotten at least Goodrich if not Surtain.

But hypothetically, I would just like to have seen Les without the security blanket of a stud back or proven QB, one of which he always had.

The OL was pretty meh in '09, but I didn't think '08, '09 and '10 were especially studded seasons at either QB or RB.

In 2008 Scott had almost 1200 yards and 18 TDs.

You have a point in 2009 - that was the year both Scott and Williams got hurt.

Yeah, I guess Scott doesn't really come to mind as goat type and Crowton threw a lot in '08.
I guess they couldn't lean on a RB when playing from behind often also.

Easy. I-formation, run left, run right, with a play action deep pass sprinkled in from time to time.

I’m 100% certain this offensive staff would be able to run one specific play, 35 to 40 times a game.

We have at least one, probably two, RBs on the 2018 squad who are better than Charles Scott - CEH and maybe Curry, hell, maybe Provens, as well.

I am Very happy do not have to watch a LSU Les Miles coached football team. It's hard to watch Pulmonay coached teams very fooling hard!!! But I love the Tigers.

I can't wait to see an offense with slinger's philosophies. It will be a thing of beauty.

He would say how great the QB's and passing game are looking in spring practice and how the offense is being opened up. We would hear leaks of the spread and all kinds of neat things.

Then, game 1 we'd see the same shite, hammering the ball into a stacked box over and over.

Pay attention homer. We haven't had an offense that was a "thing of beauty" in BR in decades.

We would actually be being talked about pre season as a team for the playoffs. Now, we are irrelevant.

Is it bad we fired Les to improve and O's offense looks just as bad?
