I told you so...

Great game until the very end. You won, we lost.

I knew last night I would see as good a collection of athletes on the field since Texas-OU of the 70’s. LSU’s were more experienced and Texas’ are mostly freshman & sophomores. A whole bunch of these guys will end up playing on Sunday’s.

Texas has a good team and they are on the right track. Started the game with 1 scholarship running back, who unfortunately dropped a touchdown pass. We lost by 7. If he would have ... never mind, he didn’t.

People laughed about Tom Herman’s piss charts, but it keeps the players hydrated. I knew Texas has a top strength and conditioning program. Wasn’t sure about LSU. It took 59 1/2 minutes of tough, physical football before ya’ll breathed a sigh of relief. 7 cramp timeouts in the second half by my count. Any of ‘em menstrual? Just kidding.

Sam is a tough, physical kid. Hope you liked him, you get a chance to see him again next year.

A good 4 wideout offense humbles a good defense. Too many fast guys in space is tough. We see that every week in the Big 12. Not a lot of long passes last night, but a bunch of short passes that ended up with long runs.

LSU will be tough this year. Manziel’s Big 12 offense lit up the SEC. LSU will do the same. But scoring too quickly has its drawbacks if your defense is on the field to much.

Finally, I appreciate the energy you brought to town. We somehow ended up surrounded by LSU fans, young and old; good people, fun conversation, a little ribbing back and forth. 1 drunk kid dropping f-bombs around a few kids. The LSU fans set him straight. Pretty sure he was the one that made the mess in the bathroom. He looked like hammered shite before half time.

Hope you enjoyed Austin. There is a reason the State of Texas put UT on the highest hilltop north of the Capitol.

Will the Texas fans go away because we lost. Not gonna happen. This is too much fun.
