I still feel bad for Justin Jefferson

It's nice to see a half-page of stickies touting all the well-deserved awards for LSU players and coaches, but it still bothers me that no one saw fit to work Justin Jefferson into at least the All-SEC team. Not even 2nd string! This guy got us out of so many jams on critical downs/distance last year I lost count. He's not the fastest receiver you'll ever see but he runs exquisite routes, has unbelievable hands, and always seems to get open in key plays.
He was #2 in the SEC in receiving yards and #1 in the number of catches. How can he be left out of the All-SEC team? It smacks of league politics. Certain receivers from other teams were hyped before the season started and all through the year while JJ was a relatively unknown commodity and it appears that balloting for All-SEC was done to cover for the hype and make the pundits look less foolish in their rush to put their “golden boy” receivers at the front of the line. It’s the epitome of being disenfranchised.
At minimum, Jefferson deserves a HUGE thank you from players and fans alike, not to mention being the receiving half of 88 missiles thrown from a Heisman winner. Imagine the 2019 season without him…

I thought the same exact thing Pawl. It's a travesty to not recognize him!

Agreed, and hopefully next season he will be recognized for what he's doing. I love watching him get the football, because you know there's potential for a break away play almost every time.
Hopefully, he takes this as a personal challenge and shows out the next two games...

So true, Jet is being shafted. Dude had a better year than ceedee Lamb also. He was deserving of biletnekoff consideration and was easily the 2nd most productive receiver in the SEC and deserved WAY more recognition than he’s getting. What did the Alabama receivers do that he didn’t? NOTHING. I mean he checks everything off the list including big plays in crunch time. We love you Jet!!!

JJ is a beast. Fearless going across the middle. It is crazy he didn't win any awards.

He’ll get recognized with millions

Yep it’s a joke. I don’t think it bothers JJ though. He wants one thing. To win the national championship!

It's all good.
JJ and Myles will just be the second O'Brien/Biletnikoff combination in school history next year.

I think Justin will be fine. He's going to get paid on Sundays.
He has been outstanding though.

I promise you some NFL team has noticed, and Justin Jefferson will get something better than a trophy.
I hope Jefferson catches 20 passes these next two games.

Just can’t see JJ coming back. Gotta strike while the iron is hot, and over the last 2 years he’s got over 150 catches, 2000 yards and 20 TDs. Probably looking at round 2. Hard to pass up

He made the second team AP All-SEC team. He was left off of the coaches’ All-SEC team.

There was a play in the seccg, early 2nd half where jj caught a short pass, right side, spin move, stop, change of direction. CD lamb ain't making those moves. And CD lamb doesn't catch in traffic like jj does.

It was all politics. Fulton as well was dissed a little bit.

Agreed
I can't wait to watch Jefferson make big plays these next 2 games. I think he'll have 100+ yards in both games
