about what? that prime time did not like being hit. ask dalton hilliard about that. You clearly have not watched many games. guy was a great DB but contact was not his forte nor did he like it.

@ this thread. They are two totally different style of players. It's like comparing barry sanders to jerome bettis. Different. You are comparing a NICKELBACK and a CORNERBACK. Different. If you want to pick a corner? Prime time all day. TM7 isn't a BAD corner, but he would get murdered by big receivers. Kind of like Poole from Tennessee made him look bad. As far a NB, then sure TM7. He probably has some of the best ball skills to ever play in college.

Sanders: Great returner, shut down corner (maybe best ever), not-so-clutch playmaker, terrible football mentality.

Tell Eric Martin how Sanders was not clutch. I remember Sanders taking away a TD on EM's favorite slant route. It won the game for the Falcons. Any comparison of DS with anyone playing DB in college today, is asinine. You can contrast but not compare

I've been saying most of the year TM7 is a better college PLAYER than deion was. Is he a better cover corner, uh frick no. Did Deion have the playmaking skills around the line of scrimmage, forced fumbles, big hits, etc that changed games?
as should also be pointed out, 2 completely different systems and 2 different ways to use players.... Chavis likes to use TM7 as a playmaker to blitz etc... Sanders was never used that way, just told to go out and guard/shut down the other teams best receiver.

Can't exactly compare stats when the players were used in completely different ways here. Sanders was head and shoulders above TM7 as a cover man, but TM7 isn't exactly being used as a cover man.

As far as returner goes, I still take PP7 over TM7 in that department....

Rock star gump Tr didn't run over Reid on the third play of the game. He was lucky he fumbled out of bounds!

Sanders: Great returner, shut down corner (maybe best ever), not-so-clutch playmaker, terrible football mentality. TM7: average cover corner, head hunter, ball hawk, CLUTCH playmaker. I would relate TM7's punt returns to his knack for making a play at the right time. It really is amazing how he swings momentum. It really is amazing how often he makes "that play." Back to the point: even think you can compare the 2. Completely different styles.

Deion was one of the smartest football players ever. His football IQ was off the charts.

TM is one of the best impact players ive ever seen as well and ive also seen both play. That's Why I said cover coner with DS.Different guys but as the original poster said when u look at it TM at what he's done for his team is amazing, and he has stood out on a group defensive studs. Without him I dont think we would be where we r now. He should be a great NFL player because hes a game changer and again we wouldn't be in this game without him. I just hope he's got 2 or 3 returns saved for the bama game.

LSU would still be undefeated without TM7...

The one close game LSU has played TM7 had little to no impact...

Has he impacted games, yes but is he the reason they are winning them by 20+ points, not entirely. LSU has demolished everyone this season and it isn't just because of TM7. Good playmaker but I think Chavis could use others in a similar fashion, Ron Brooks had a great game filling in for TM7 vs Auburn.

TM has skills no doubt, has great vision, and is a great playmaker n college. The only time ive ever watched DS smoke someone with probally the best hit of his career, was on Hokie G. with the Saints or one of their big T.Ends. funny the TE jumped right up and DS hit a little sniffing sauce on the sideline and sit out for a while,

Your right on the hitting part but he can't hold DS jock imo, I also saw him, n college as well and sanders was faster backpedaling, he was truly a freak. No and I mean nowhere close as a cover coner. Nothing from the other guy but your talking probally the best cover guy to ever play the game.

I'm also including special teams because one of Prime Time's big points in college were his returns.
