TM has skills no doubt, has great vision, and is a great playmaker n college. The only time ive ever watched DS smoke someone with probally the best hit of his career, was on Hokie G. with the Saints or one of their big T.Ends. funny the TE jumped right up and DS hit a little sniffing sauce on the sideline and sit out for a while,

The OP is comparing their College career and what he has seen them do on the field AS a COLLEGE student.
Here we go again with everyone using an NFL HOF and career to evaluate and disregard the OP's statement.
TM7 is so much like what PP was for LSU is terms of being all over the place in certain games. He even reminds me of Eric Berry and Ed Reed.
The impact TM7 has had in every single game from the start to the now has been INCREDIBLE.
Did Deion go to New York as a true sophomore?
Did Deion win SEC Defensive Player of the Year as a true sophomore?

Jesus Christ...Let us pray..
Dear lord, please i beg of you to make this nonsense go away...
Next they will be saying that jordan jefferson can beat out tom brady for the starting spot with the patriots!!!!!!!!!
TM7 is good at what he does, but to attempt to compare him to primetime is ignorant.....
GO TO BED!!!!!!

Some of yall look like straight up bitches.
It's not that far fetch when you actually look at it.
The guy saw both play in college. He says HB7 has had more of an impact. Why is that SO HARD TO frickING BELIEVE? It's his opinion, but it's not as far fetch as you fricks think.
What pisses me off is how so many LSU fans disregard their own players achievements.. especially being concerned it could come off as homerism. Not many guys have had the impact on college football as what he did this season. That is a fact. He lead the nation in non-offensive scores. The ENTIRE NCAA.
No one is going to claim JEFFERSON TO TOM BRADY OR PEYTON MANNING. Yall look like even more of some bitches to try to say LSU fans are any where near about to claim this.
So maybe yall should grow up and don't be such a little pussy?

What also pisses me off is LSU fans being hard on PP7 and TM7 saying they can't cover sometimes because they give up a play in front of them.
Not once have I seen TM7 get burned. There are some frick fans on this site who tried hating on TM7 in the Bama game.. but he kept his guy in front of him on every play. Not one guy burned him. I don't ever even remember TM7 getting burned all season. People around here think if you give up a pass or two you are terrible in coverage.
TM7's coverage is actually above average. The guy is versatile as hell, which is pretty damn impressive. Guy is disruptive on the blitz, he is a tremendous solo tackler.. especially against much larger dudes, he can cover the entire football field to make a play as shown in the Bama game being the last guy to stop Richardson from across the football field. He is great both ways on special teams as a gunner and as a punt returner. Want him to make a play on the ball.. He can do that.. He strips like a boss. He plays like a boss. He is a difference maker and has proven to be in every single game ALL season.

Troy palamalu is the best comparison I can come up with. I am also not saying he is better then Troy, that is TBD

Hit like Ronnie Lott? I don't think TM7 exactly knocks people out of their shoes. 75% of his form is attempting to strip the ball on most hits.

Tyrann hasn't been the best corner on his team the past 2 seasons. (pp7, claiborne)
That doesn't mean he hasn't been the best playmaker on defense and just as valuable for what he has done.
The man was just voted MVP by his own team.. A team that has a chance to go down as one of the GREATEST teams ever in NCAA history.
The man finished in the top 5 in the heisman voting as a true sophomore.
The man won SEC defensive player of the year, and is an All American DB.. As a true sophomore..
and because a guy who saw both play and says he's been more impressive thus far.. yall think it's so ludacris..
Yeah so Deion was more of a lock down corner (so is Mo.. so is PP) that doesn't mean he's better. Again, Tyrann's coverage is nothing to sleep on in his own right.. and his other football aspects most definitely outweigh Deion's.
Yeah which is why I express my view.. You express yours.. I express it pisses me off when fans are quick to dismiss an opinion in fear of homerism showing. So what? I am simply expressing my opinion. I'm actually never as upset as it may come across.. again it is just a msg board. I won't lose sleep over it.. and i'll get over it pretty quick..
I just think it's ignorant people dismiss the guy's opinion right off the bat, because Deion is a lockdown HOF and one of the greatest to ever play the game.. but people miss the point it's comparing accomplishments thus far in their career.

I wouldn't say he tackles like any linebacker.. but his solo tackling is very good. Great form. Just as when he tackled Michael Williams (dude is what 6'6?) in the open field. He is a much more all around player than just a guy looking to strip the ball.
He actually has tremendous football smarts. He knows exactly when to go for the strip (other guys closing in) and when to make the form tackle. He knows when he can get away with attempting a quick pick up on the ball on ST and when he shouldn't. His football IQ is tremendous. He's just an all around Gamer.

I don't think it's that stupid.
The point is to show appreciation for what Tyrann has done as an all around football player all season long. He isn't afraid to do anything the team needs him to do.
Of course I don't think TM7 will ever have the success as Deion as a pro.. not many will.. but this is about accomplishments as a college football player thus far. At least I believe the comparison is to be for college.
Tyrann literally goes in there and takes the ball away. He's had 2 cover corners his entire career at LSU, so what good would it do to have just another Deion out there when you have a guy who literally takes the ball away.. who has an incredible knack to disrupt the passer on blitzes.. who can move to any DB position and have tremendous success. Who can play special teams BOTH ways and be just as much of a force. Who can tackle 1v1 or do what he needs to do on gang tackles.
Who had more FF etc?
It's really difficult to compare the two or look at stats because lock down corners only have to do one thing, but here they are any ways:
Deion (Freshman): 1 INT 1 Defensive TD 1 Punt Return TD 0 FF 0 FR
Deion (Sophomore): 4 INT 0 Defensive TD 0 Punt Return TD 2 FF 1 FR
Tyrann (Freshman): 2 INT 4.5 Sacks (no punt returning due to PP) 5 FF 2 FR
Tyrann (Sophomore): 2 INT 2 Punt Return TD
6 FF 4 FR, 2 Fumble Recovery TDs, 7 Passes Broken up 1.5 Sack
LINK
for those that look up stats and they say 5 ff (that is defensive only, not including ST)

I've been saying most of the year TM7 is a better college PLAYER than deion was. Is he a better cover corner, uh frick no. Did Deion have the playmaking skills around the line of scrimmage, forced fumbles, big hits, etc that changed games? frick no. Deion was amazing simply BECAUSE of his absurd god given talent. Tyrann uses his to supplement his learned football skill to dominate the college game, from numerous spots on the field.

Wish I had time to find PBUs thru Soph year for both if available.

I'd love to see how well TM7 could do as a pure corner. He does show some great coverage skills and you'd know he'd be very physical with the receivers. Obviously this won't happen at LSU b/c he's so amazing with his versatility.
