1. We gave up 2.7 ypc. That ain't bad

2). Although we missed a bunch of tackles, we were in better position

3). Yes, the OL looks weak, but we had a good many plays where they executed very well. And when they did, our offense looked pretty good

4). 3 penalties is really good

Kicks offs were good

Penalties were better

Still can't take a whole lot from yesterday, its Syracuse.

We won't really know until Florida

There were a lot of improvements but that offensive line is just so bad so it’s hard for the offense to get in s rhythm.

When Etling had time, the offense was fine. Wish we’d do more quick passes, shovels, sweeps, etc to hide our OL

Oh I agree.

And Sullivan looks like a game changer. Big, physical, and can take it to the house. Looked like Bowe out there for a second.

There were some improvements last night, but there are still plenty of problem areas.

One more tune up game left until the schedule gets brutal.

As painful as it is to watch at times, I'm still so intrigued to see if Canada gets this offense to finally gel. It's in our culture at LSU to play down to opponents, so I don't quite know what we have yet. Look at the last time we played Syracuse. A walk-on QB looked completely competent against us.

There were some bright spots, and maybe this team will be completely different once they finally get up for a game.

We'll see.

It was Syracuse!!! Could you imagine what would have happened had we played an SEC team?
If we are lucky, we win 2 SEC games this year.

Do you think the team wasn't up for Miss. state? This team is not very good, that's all there is to it.

I don't think they really were. I think they thought they were good enough to stroll. They will be a lot better by the end of this tough year.

I know that Miss. St. was sky high for the LSU game. I have never seen them so pumped.

You are right this team is not very good. There is only so much you can expect with a decimated line.

I am actually satisfied with the offensive production so far when you consider how poor the OL has performed.

Canada gets a pass/deferment on a concrete opinion from me for awhile. I like everything about our offense except the poor blocking.

Hell we started half our drives at the 5 yard line last night!!! Hard to score a lot of points when you are deep in the hole like that.

On the other hand Aranda has a better defense than we have offense and has not looked it so far. I am a disappointed with our D so far. Granted I know they aren't world beaters but they aren't bottom of the barrel either and to date they have not played even middle of the road D.

Brennan looked good - poised under pressure. Did a great job hitting check-down receivers.
