I really don’t think recruits care that much about the W-L record

Not with a young roster off a natty... while transitioning defensive scheme... in 2020.

But it’s naive if you think linebackers & safeties aren’t paying attention to the evolution of this defense. If we see some improvement, you might actually find a selling point in recruiting.

But if everything stays the same + we’re sitting here with nothing but horrible net regression & a question mark for DC at the end of the year... that’s not gonna bode well.

This is all speculative, but I have a hard time imagining losing Ika, Shelvin, Queen, and Vincent + Clark/Stevens looking like they have if you’ve got Aranda back this year. Spare me your “but Bama” — It would be goofy to try and argue that the way the defense has looked had nothing to do with the Sage Ryan development.

It’s not about needing to be great, it’s about not looking like a dumpster fire.

I want to be positive, and I do think LSU can recover from this — but you really just can’t understate how bad the defense has been. Nobody could have imagined it being worse... I’ll just leave you sunshine pumpers with that thought.

Sage Ryan cares. Said he wants to play for a team that’s good every year. Def a shot at LSU. They care

Yes, but the quote was from 2 weeks before the season started. So it had nothing to do with our current predicament.

If he only cares about going along for the ride and not having to face adversity, it only sets himself up for failure in the future.

..and Bama isn’t wining the Natty this year, either. Their D isn’t good enough and they just lost a huge part of their offense/STs.

They have a very good shot of making the playoffs

They will make it, but they get stopped short again this season.

Nice to see all the people that didn’t want O hired, then wanted him fired before 2019, are back again. Haven’t seen y’all in a few years.
