I know we’re not likely to win 10 but I’m happy because there is hope

All of the coach and player interviews I have heard really make me believe things are different and we will have this thing in high gear as soon as next year. I am confident that the current staff wont allow us to get embarrassed by shite teams like UCLA etc.

0-0 where hope lives lol.

Definitely can win 10. This team has a pretty high ceiling, but also could be 6-6

No.

The Tigers won 6 last year with half a roster and no coaching.

It’s almost not possible for them not to be better this year.

I have money on the over 6.5. With what we brought in and the players we have bought in to the system there is no way we are 5th in the west.

Hope’s not a plan

You go out and get a guy like Kelly and a staff like this to win all the games you are supposed to and at least 1-2 that you shouldn’t.

9-3 with a 10th win in a bowl should be the standard expectation. Anything less isn’t a failure but does fall short of what a LSU football team should be

Absolutely, but maybe not so much in Year 1 with so much player and coaching turnover.

It will require a lot of variables to fall in place, but I think wins is very achievable. We have a lot of talent and a good coaching staff. If the transfers are able to provide the immediate impact as expected and a couple guys that have yet to reach their potential like Emery this team will do well.

This is the kind of shite Ole Miss fans post. We are LSU. We win national championships. Get your head straight.

We almost beat Bama last year with a team full of bench warmers and a mildly mentally challenged coach who had already been fired. Pretty sure 10 wins this year is a possibility.

I would say go look at the LSU program under Saban for a bit of a clue. Dinardo did bring back the magic to a degree. Then incredibly tanked for 2 years but didn’t leave the cupboard bare as far as athletes. Saban came in and immediately began turning the culture around and recruited at an even higher level. The assistant coaching staff was absolutely sick when you look back at it.
Still, on the field results took some time. 8-4, 10-3, 8-5. You saw glimpses in the second season of what could be. But it took til year 4 to win the NC.
The footing under BK is firmer than when Saban came in. But make no mistake the culture was totally wrecked and the recruiting strategy and talent development was weak.

I’d say you really see full steam ahead at some point in 2023 season. 4 losses this season is definitely not out of the question. Watch more for how we play, how we’re coached, and how the program is developing- especially in year one. I fully believe the outcomes we all desire will come- given a little time.

10 wins seems unlikely......for a team with a new coach and many unknowns, I think 8-4 would be very good.....

We absolutely can win 10. The schedule lines up pretty well for us, and we have a major talent revamp along with coaching. Yes I’m optimistic, and a homer, but a few of our fans need to really realize how much different we are from 1 year ago.

I’d point out we were really different in Sabans first year here. We had won a grand total of 2 games the season before. Still….4 losses. Life in the SEC brother…

We'll see how Brian Kelly does against top-tier teams, but I'm absolutely confident that we aren't going to shite the bed against mediocre opponents. I'm not sure people realize just how good Brian Kelly's teams have been at beating less talented teams.

Leonard Fournette was the starting running back for LSU the last time Brian Kelly lost to an unranked team. Notre Dame has not dropped a single game to an unranked opponent since 2016.

By comparison, LSU has 10 losses to unranked teams over that same stretch.

Was it that long ago 10 wins was treated to, ho-hum commenting?
