I know we were depleted beyond belief, but McGlothern should be at free safety

You can see the ball skills, just needs the reps

He had a great tackle first play of the 2nd qtr.

Wondering why he hadn’t had more meaningful snaps before last night given the secondary struggles.

With the loss of Wiggins, unfortunately he will remain at CB. We had similar thoughts about Joseph. Since Delpit, our safeties do not have the range and speed required for us to play as much man to man as we do. Toles was to fill one of those needs but has yet to receive significant playing time

Hampton should never be trailing WRs in the secondary. He's got the talent. I'm not sure where the disconnect is with him.

Thought next to ricks, he was the best player on the field for us. They threw at him maybe 10 times in 1 on 1 coverage. Flott just lost the #3-4 cb spot to mcglothern and ward. Good luck getting it back with ricks, stingley, ward, mcglothern and sage ryan coming in next yr.

Kudos to this kid

Mary Vincent had the speed to be a free safety but they always kept him at nickel. He flashed when he had reps at free safety

No. Jabril cox was the best player on the field

I like McGlothern too but he was lost on some of those deep balls

He will be fine with more reps.
I think by the middle of next year he will be where he needs to be

This is where I think McGlothern ends up - if not here then at the next level.

I hope he keeps getting playing time. Seems like we always have two good corners but get exposed at nickel or safety coverage.

He was not beat, so he has the speed and athletic ability. He just didn't play the ball correctly.

As you say, with experience and reps he will be a good one. Looks the part and has confidence and swagger.

To be fair, some of those were just damned good throws and catches. Sometimes there’s not much you can do. Ask everyone who played against LSU last year.

Jabril Cox reminds me a lot of Isiah Simmons not quite as strong in the run game gets knocked back a lot when trying to make a tackle but can cover his arse off!! One play he’s running 20+ yards down the field and in perfect position almost as if he’s a corner...NFL starting to prioritize those S/LB hybrids
