This is well said. And sadly there are supposed fans like this. Many of them are popular

I want him to win out too. I love it when LSU succeeds. The problem is that isn't going to happen. LSU is more likely to go 1-7 in the SEC than it is 7-1. I hate to say it, but we are quickly losing ground with O at the helm.

Hey, I warned that Mississippi State was closing the gap over the past few years under Mullen and was mocked because there was "no way we were going to lose to State".

I even showed this statistically. Now that we've lost, many of these same people are shocked that we lost to State (even though it was statistically likely- though by 30 was definitely a surprise).Doesnt really matter because it doesn't fit with your script that O sucks.

Saban was mediocre his first 4 years at MSU.
Are you LSU Finebaum fans willing to give CEO the chance he deserves?
He's 3 Games into his first season here.

I hope so too. But I wouldn't even bet a dollar on that happening.

Well, then, get ready to scrap, baw. You ALREADY have negas actively rooting against the team to clear out O.

You folks thought they would stop at Miles?

Negas NEVER stop. They're petulant children who root against a team they're supposedly a fan of to get the exact, precise coaching change they want. IF they get that, they back that coach until he loses a game -- or wins ugly, then they start their pathetic cycle all over again.

They did it to Mac. They did it to Stovall. Arnsparger fricked them - he didn't stay around long enough for them to pull it on him. They did it to Archer. They did it to Hallman (and that motherfricker deserved every bit of criticism, but the team didn't). They did it to Dinardo. They did it to Saban. They did it to Miles (really early, often and incessantly - they wanted to fire him in 2007 after the losses). They're doing it to O. They'll do it to the next coach. And the next.

The problem is what we saw on Saturday looks an awful lot like what we saw out of Ole Miss when he was there. This doesn't frighten you even a little bit?

we all hope we win out.

We're just alarmed by what happened Saturday night and therefore are concerned for the tougher stretch of games.

I gave Miles the benefit of the doubt for a long time. Until at least 2014. O does not have the same currency either here or based on what he's done elsewhere. Quite the opposite actually.

Do tell what he's done to deserve anything other than being an interim coach when better coaches get fired?

Can you explain to me why we would have any reason to believe that O would be a similar story to Nick fricking Saban?

Just so that you negaTigers will be completely humiliated and utterly destroyed.

Wanting LSU to win out just to prove some people wrong, and not because you just want the Tigers to win, is maybe just as bad as....

It means your desire for a win has nothing to do with the Tigers and everything to do with other people.

Of course I want Ed to win out, that means maybe we did strike gold on what, at the time, was a terrible hire. If he's late era-Miles 2.0 doing no better than 9-3 over the next 3 years, we're going to have big problems ahead, because that will be the expectations from here on out.

Ideally, we'd compete for a NC in the next 2-3 years. With O....eh.... I just don't see it.

Like it or not he earned the HC job. Jimbo rejected. Herman rejected. Who else did you see coming?
Give the man a damn chance. He's already behind the 8 ball with the OL issues.
I'm still waiting for specifics where O has failed us...not just we got beat by Moo State.
You frikkin' Millenials want instant fix NOW. Life don't work that way and niether does football.

What a dumb arse. Anyone comparing a Coach to Saban will come out on the losing end. Captain Obvious, the point was even Saban was lackluster at first. Are you a Rocket Science major?
