that Saban is gonna try and run the score up on O. I was driving all day and at one point started listening to some old Saban interviews (just to laugh at the shite he gives the press corps) when I came across the his soundbite on LSU firing Miles.

His answer made me feel like he was a little pissed about his firing. Spare me the jokes about Saban wanting to keep Les around because he owned him. I just came away thinking......there won't be any "taking a knee" or playing the 2nd string.

Additionally, I listened to several corporate events where he was the keynote. Dude really has a different approach as to how he builds a program.

Are you implying that Saban took it easy on Les?

Saban and Miles weren't exactly boys.

And by the way, frick saban, and whatever he thinks about the way we run shite at LSU.

No, not at all. Just that the soundbite and the way it was delivered made me think that he wasn't happy with the way it was handled and unlike most of us who can't do anything about it.......he can.

Then it was Saban just being pissy as usual with the media. Some of those press conferences are funny as hell.

I remember saban's comments just after les was fired...and I remember thinking that he sounded pissed as well. Saban is a schlong, but he is not afraid to call bullshite when he sees it.

Fwiw, Saban is not the kind of guy to take it easy on his opponents...when he coached at LSU, he would not put in his second string until he was up by 50.

Let's look at this logically.

If we agree that he did not take it easy on Les, then we agree that he was trying his hardest to beat us as best he could resulting in some tight games and a couple of 38-10 type games, correct?

We then must also agree that he would have beaten any of those previous LSU teams 100-0 if he could have. We still on the same page?

If both of those are correct, then how Saban feels about Les getting fired doesn't mean dick cuz he wants to beat the crap out of us every year regardless of circumstances.

So your theory is pretty dumb.

The flip side of this is that Saban has far bigger aspirations than making LSU look dumb. Why would he risk his starters in a blow out just to pour it on LSU? Makes no sense.

Nick's annual arse pounding was part of the reason Les was shown the door. That and Les' dislike of the forward pass. Maybe Nick doesn't like that idea at some level.... Who knows.

What would he know about how to handle situations? Like he handled leaving Michigan State, LSU and Miami so fricking good?

While saban was out loading up on o &d linemen, Clm was out chasing cornerbacks, receivers, and dual threat quarterbacks with no accuracy.
It was ok when the West was weak , but as the rest of the division was improving we were sending the skill positions to the league and finishing 3rd in the division
