I don’t want to see Brennan take field until we are completing well over 50% of our passes

The passing game needs a lot of work and we have a short time to get there. Unless we are serious about going to a two qb system and burning the red shirt, then let Burrow get all the game time reps he can.

Edit: cliffhanger tit

Brennan will be fine if O and Cregg can get the Oline playing like AU every week. Brennan needs a pocket and I believe he can sling it. I think La tech is a great time to give him reps. Tougher comp than a SELA & Rice or whoever. He needs good game reps. He showed some good things last year at times.

The way the completion percent is going this year, Brennan may not play at all. Brennan needs to play this year, just to make sure he is ready in case Burrow gets hurt.

While I agree he needs in game reps, it's the last thing the Rant needs. If he comes in in mop up duty and throws a bunch of completions this Board will be calling for him to replace Joe. If he come in and bombs, this Board will be asking why the hell we let the other two go because they were better than him. It's a win-win/lose-lose situation.

Joe needs all the reps to keep trying to get better and have timing with the receivers.

Soooo many fails in your post WOW!!

First of all we don't have to burn a RS. Second of all the passing game is picking up speed. Third if you actually watch Burrow throw then you wouldn't really be worried about percentage.

Plus I think he throws for like 21-30 in this game or like 15-20 for 312 yards and 3 total TDs. The Tigers go into halftime with a 35-0 lead and we get Myles B some work in the 3rd and 4th quarter. I would love to see how he's progressed and I'll bet he's much more calm now. I think he'll play well. We could put our second string OL out there with our second string WRs and toss the ball around a bit.

Would really like to see a screen game open up. We need to get better executing those plays and fakes off of them. I'm looking forward to this weeks game plan. GT

MYLES
BRENNAN
IS
NOT
A
GOOD
QUARTERBACK

Why have people been so eager to shoehorn into the offense the last 2 years.

First of all we don't have to burn a RS. I know using him in less than 5 games saves the RS. I am saying don’t take reps from Burrow if you are only going to use him for mop up.

Second of all the passing game is picking up speed.

Still under 50% completion rate.

Third if you actually watch Burrow throw then you wouldn't really be worried about percentage.

Yes, I actually watched him throw, most of the issues are timing and routes with receivers. He has only been on the team for 3 months, he needs work with first team to work together and gel. I am not saying he needs the practice, I am saying they need the practice.

It'll come and is coming along. That's my point. I think you'll see a much better performance from the entire offense Saturday.

Exactly it's timing and he's putting the ball where minimizes TOs. Some of it is just trusting himself with his WRs. They just need work but that will come over time not one game.

So if he gets 15-20 throws and is accurate with the WRs then put Myles in and let's get him some practice with the offense. LSU doesn't have many games where we can actually get him in the game and throw passes so take advantage of the games we can do that.

I mean of course you don't take him out if he's struggling but that's not the trend as of now. They're trending up and I suspect they will all play hard this weekend. The RS thing I'm a bit confused as to why it was brought up to begin with.

Why do fans think the only time Jeaux can improve is in games where they can see the reps?

Both QBs can improve in practicing against our bad azz D, but Miles and OL both could use some gametime attempts with #1s for more experience and familiarization with real game situations that Jeaux will have plenty of.

Short version- LSU needs to be prepared for an injury to Jeaux.

Again, this is incorrect.

Did you ever think "the passing game" would get better with a more accurate qb?

If Miles Brennan was named the starter and took every snap so far this year, I have no doubt we would be well over 50% completion percentage. We also wouldn't be able to say we haven't had a turnover and we probably wouldn't be 3-0.

It’s not a cool guy alert. How fricking hard is it to follow simple rules on a forum where you post shite.

The dude typed full sentences into the subject. He ran out of characters and just dropped down and continued in the body. That is fuuuuuuucking AWFUL.

How about :

“My Criteria for Subbing Brennan”

Or

Don’t sub in Brennan until Offense is Clicking

People need to quit defending horrIble titles and post structure.
