I don't know why people on here are trying to spend so much time saying how great this team will be. Are you trying to convince others or yourselves?

Unlike you, maybe they are excited a new season of LSU football is about to start, They want to talk LSU football and not be miserable about it. You don't have to read the board you know.

In a few days we'll see. If I were confident in that like some of you say you are all I would say is wait and see.

So they aren't allowed to post their thoughts on the LSU football team for the upcoming season? Good to know. Thanks for the information. Now that you have spoken, I'm sure all this will stop.

Oh how expectations keep getting lowered here. It's amazing how you the OP think that 9 or 10 wins is ok. 9 or 10 wins a season get the HBC at Bama fired but seems to be ok at #MediocreU

Nope. But clearly we downgraded at OC. I mean was “Slinger” the only offensive coach Broyels award finalist?

From where I sit LSU has improved everywhere from that team except RB...

You really don't know this. In fact, we could end up being fine at rb and still have no passing game.

The entire offense is a question mark.

Ree's the one that keeps up with that type of stuff. I'm sure he'll know.

You might want to slow your roll with the Barry sanders comparisons. CEH couldn’t stay healthy in high school. I’m hoping he does and has a great career. Watched him throughout high school.

Just don’t think he can handle the pounding of that many carries. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong.

No idiot. I was saying that Barry Sanders was 5'8" 200 pounds when he played in college and the NFL. CEH is 5'7" and 205 in college.

Are you really so stupid that you think I was saying CEH was Barry Sanders from reading my post?

CEH's size is fine. Here's a list of comparable size RBs in the NFL:

Devonta Freeman
Kareem Hunt
Christian McCaffrey
Alex Collins
Jerick McKinnon
Dion Lewis
Duke Johnson
Frank Gore

And a little further back:
Emmitt Smith
Walter Payton
Barry Sanders
Curtis Martin
LT
Warrick Dunn

Well there were a lot of players with those measurements that you could've picked. You picked Barry Sanders.

I saw where someone used Darrell Williams as an example to counter the thought that the RB's could be as good or better. I think DW is proof otherwise.

He didn't have a great career until his senior season and then he was arguably as productive or more for LSU last season than Guice was.

CEH is built for the SEC. His injury history has nothing to do with his size. This is from the Spring game this year. Kid is thick.

So sue me. I used an example that I figured most people had heard of. The fact remains that his stature was slighter than CEH's.

Underachieved.

LSU has recruited well at RB

In comparison to past years, our recruiting underachieved.

QB, WR, TE, OL will all be better than last yea

Last years QB got a signing bonus, NFL contract and is still on a NFL roster. This years QB has hardly played in two years and has never faced a SEC defense.

t's amazing to me how more people don't see it.

What's really amazing is that you listed all these glowing points about the team without saying anything about the coaching which many and not only on the rant see as LSU's weakest link. Maybe you have forgotten already how O fricked his first OC hire and his how second hadn't been hired by ANY school as an OC in twenty years. Maybe you forgot O played a SOS around 30 and still found a way to lose four games

Now, all may work out fine and we might end up top 5 in the nation, but to act like its a given before the first game is played is more blind faith that anything else.

It would s, but there's no reason for the offense to be at the same level of last year. Coach Orgerons career hinges on the changes he has made.

I get how OP needs to cool his jets but we need to chilllll if this is your attitude going into game 1. At this very moment, we are undefeated.

Have some excitement and hope that our talent wills our shitty coaches to victory
