That's pretty stupid logic.
Most rational people are able to separate the two.

LSU has a lot of good football players on it's roster and starting. When I looked at the depth chart I was really amazed how anyone could think this team won't at least match last season's record. I believe it has more to do with a lack of faith in the coaching staff than anything else. I was disappointed when O got rid of Canada, I thought Canada did a good job last year and is a very intelligent OC. He wasn't scared of Alabama and wasn't scared to put the ball in the air. We won't beat them by running the ball every first and second down. That being said, I hope Ensminger is up to the task and comes out with a good game plan every single game. The talent is there.

Bottom line 9-3 is the ceiling for this team right now.

I see 10-2 as the floor. With literally anything possible after that.
LSU has what may be the best defense in the country. And I expect LSU's special teams to again be top notch this year, with an accurate field goal kicker, unlike last year.
All LSU needs is a little more production out of the LSU offense than last year. And I believe we'll see it.

That's nonsensical. You guys talk like LSU's roster is that of Tennessee or Texas A&M. It's just ridiculous.

When’s the last time Tennessee or A&M saw 9-3?

You're saying that there is no way that LSU beats Auburn, UGA or Alabama. The probability of them losing all three of those games is not as great as you say it is. Matter of fact, I'd be willing to bet on the UGA at home game for sure.

I believe the point was that since LSU was 9-3 last year, it's proof that they are nowhere near the level of an A&M or Tennessee because neither of those 2 teams have had 9 wins in some time.

Good for you. I was just pointing out your comment that being 9-3 is saying we have Tennessee or TAMU talent is absurd since neither of those 2 has been close to that in a while save the JFF Heisman year.
You say the probability of losing all 3 to Auburn UGA and Bama is not that great. Does that mean you think the other 9 games are a mortal lock? Tell me what’s less probable?

You're that easy huh? Alleva would love to have 2 million of you as the fanbase.
You ever think that "someone" doesn't know what the hell they're doing? You put blind faith in him because "he saw fit to hire" Orgeron, without any consideration as to if he's fit to do his job or not.

What people don’t realize is that Brossette is an outstanding back. The only knock on him has been his fumbling and that 100% is due to him getting limited playing time behind Fournette and guice. It got in his head and that threw him out of whack in his limited reps. Once he gets the ball steadily every game he won’t be letting fumbling get in his head to the degree it has in the past.

Well, isn't that a damn big knock for a RB.

get in his head
So, our starting RB has head issues.
Lets see, our HC is coming off a disappointing year, our OC hasn't been responsible for developing a offensive playbook in twenty years, our QB is a transfer with very limited playing time in three years, and our RB has head issues due to his history of fumbling.
And some wonder why we are getting so little respect nationally.

And if that happens, Alleva will be fired before Halloween. I think we lose A&M if the wheels come off that bad in Sept. and Oct.

Because the coaching is very very bad.

We still have an OL full of OGs and that is two full recruiting cycles into Orgeron's tenure. The new offense, new QB, new skill position players will all come down to whether the OL can dominate.

Especially now that they have been removed from having a direct impact on the postseason.

I don't know, Roger, I have interest in how LSU is viewed 24-7. I think most of us do. We always have threads here discussing the merit of our preseason ranking no matter where that ranking might be or what sport. Why are you so sensitive now.

add to that, we shoudla won 10 and probably 11 last year.
auburn will be tough, but i think we should win that game. if we can win one of uga and bama, we should be in the playoff.
this team is stacked.
