If LSU comes out and drops 28-35 points on Auburn Saturday, in your opinion or agenda with Miles, will it be because Auburn just sucks on defense or LSU progressed on offense?

I have a feeling what it's going to be, but I was just curious as to what you say.

ETA: with 385 total yards offense

No matter what happens, it will not be enough to please this fan base.

ill go with their defense sucks and we score two of our 4 touchdowns with our defense getting the ball back inside their 30

I'll lean toward improvement but won't be totally convinced. we've played some bad defenses so far and haven't done well so the 'auburn has a shitty d' line wouldn't work very well. 35 points against a shite d would be improved performance.

I don't understand what you want.

I mean, if you score that many points on a shitty D, then isn't that what SUPPOSED to do?

Auburn is 10 in scoring defense (26.3 ppg) and 11 in total defense (367.6 ypg). They really do suck on defense.

What will the Miles apologists say if we struggle again on offense against this putrid defense?

Who cares how we make it. Let's drop 40-45 pts with @ 500 yds of offense and we can move up into the top 100.

There's nothing you can say. It would just be the same thing over and over again and his hard headed arse refusing to put Jarrett Lee in the ball game.

That's not the point of this thread though.

If they lay down the stats they are SUPPOSED to, then what?

Then they would have done what most other teams did to Auburn's defense. That alone does not mean our offense improved.

It won't be hard to see if we tried anything new and executed better. Those are my factors in determining if this offense is getting better.

until LSU proves they can move the ball, protect the ball and score against a legit defense LSU's offence is going to be, and should be, a major point of concern for the fans

not the people who live in fantasy land, but at least the rational people

if you want to fall in love with stats, go right ahead

Disagree. If the LSU team that is ranked 109 (or whatever you guys love to point out), then they shouldn't be able to do what other teams are doing.

If they do, then it shows improvement. Anything is an improvement right now.

Only Ark has put more than 30 on Auburn - if we put up 35 - that would be a huge improvement in my eyes.

Depends, if we get the points doing the same old crap we've done all year, it will be because the Auburn defense stinks. If the game plan is better and we get the points, I will say our coaching staff has finally awoken, and we have made improvements. I just don't see the actualy physical play of the team improving in a week and a half of practice, but the coaching can improve and mentality of the players can improve as a result of better coaching decisions.

How convenient that you said "more than" since both WVU and Ball St hung 30 on Auburn.
