Assuming Ed Orgeron were ever fired or if we were in the search and just fired Les.

50/50.

Yes - would be to have young brilliant coach to come in and lead a team with loads of talent.

No - hasn’t proved himself in P5 yet so how would he respond to playing equal talent? Would be the same as Herman in a sense.

Jesus

O won a national championship 4 games ago with one of the greatest seasons in the history of the game. The defense has been a dumpster fire but y'all gotta chill.

Napier had opportunities to leave last year
It’s only a matter of time

It’s a hypothetical, as in do you like him as a coach?

I never said to fire Orgeron

I think Napier is a good coach. And I can see him coaching a power 5 program in the next few years

He will be on every power 5 short list. No doubt. Rising star from Lil Dicky tree.

If we just fired Les right now? Yeah absolutely. Joe brady would be somewhere else probably so we wouldn't ever have gotten that offense, I like his. Now if we ever fired O? I don't think we ever will, he adapts unlike les. So if O just hypothetically retired after the season, yeah I'd give him a strong look since Joe Brady is going for HC jobs in the NFL. 5 years from now? Hard to say

Napier is going to be a stud. He is on the radar in Tuscaloosa. I would love to have him at the right time. Met him last year at ULL crawfish boil in Atlanta. Great guy

Yes LSU did win a championship but let’s not act like Gene Chizik 2.0 isn’t a real possibility. There were plenty of football fans in general that believed the stars just happened to align perfectly for O last year and when the key components left O wouldn’t be able to maintain contender status. It’s too early to tell right now and this is just a BS season anyway but it’s obvious that the program misses Brady and Aranda at the moment.

ULALA HC hired at LSU?

Is that what the program has sunk to?

G5 program coach is the best LSU can do now?

Curley Hallman is holding on Line 1.

A good coach is a good coach. It doesn’t matter where they come from. And Napier is a very good coach.

I wouldn't keep him off the list but at this point in his career he would be pretty far down the list.

Yes. He’s a great recruiter and runs a tight ship. He comes from the Saban coaching tree and, with LSU’s resources, he’d be an excellent choice. Napier will land at a P-5 school somewhere with a high probability of success.
