That CF HR was absolutely smoked, but otherwise he got some bad breaks.
The 4th inning HR was a pop up that just got blown out with the wind. 10 minutes prior that ball would have landed at Pearson’s feet where he usually stands.

Ball was just flying out today. Anything in the air seemed to get out. Hurd looked great against a lineup that has been red hot for the last few months batting about .335 since mid April

His curve was on and OSU got exposed. They couldn’t hit off speed. It was simple, but not easy. Hurd had his curve working tonight and kept them off balance with his fastball.

I love that y’all think we can just call straight CBs, then get pissed when one of them gets hit out for not mixing it up enough.

How much did OSU do against off speed pitches tonight? It couldn’t have been a hellava lot. I guess we left a few over the plate, but they really can’t hit off speed consistently at all.
