How Would Our QB Situation Shape-Up if Canada Were Still on Staff?

(I know it's hypothetical; but it's the offseason.)

What we tried on offense was pretty pedestrian. And it was somewhat gimmicky.

But IMO, he wanted to do something that would give us a chance to beat Bama. It wasn't gonna happen repeating what we had done post '10. At least he tried.

I think MC also sought to get MB up-to-speed as much as he could with a view to the future. And it's my understanding that CEO torpedoed this.

So if MC were still OC, MB would be the de facto starter.

Enjoy the offseason. Geaux Tigers!

He would put all three on the field at the same time and run jet sweeps.

I miss the jet sweep guy in motion. They really sold that fake handoff.

Well if he was we wouldn't be learning our 4th offense in 3 years.

I thought Canada had some brilliant calls last season.

Also thought he did pretty good Vs Bama last year as well.

If Etling hits that early deep throw, I think it would have been a different game.

Just curious, what QB's has he developed off the top of your head?

I'm happy we will actually throw the ball over the middle again.

It's easier to defend the pass when you know the offense wont be using 1/3 of the field.

just fine (would be year 2). But as we all know and have rehashed many times, Canada told O, you cost us the f*#*ing game!" O said, "You want summa me!!?" Then a couple big uglies got between em. Then Alleva had the meeting with em. and so on.....

Yeah, I was disappointed we couldn't get an intermediate passing game developed.

Canada would've beat Bama had he not have to deal with Etling's "arm"

Chandler Harnish

Jacoby Brissett

Both were pretty damn solid QBs.

He was awesome with Etling, LSU’s offense averaged 10 whole passing yards more in 2017 than 2016..
