How much playing time does Brennan get?

Personally, I'd like to see Brennan come in when we have a decent lead and let him run up the score (if he can). The thing is we almost always go conservative and we have to keep Burrow in. What says the rant?

He comes in the second quarter of the Texas game for mop up.

Not much IMO aside from injury or late game blowouts.
Burrow is gonna ball out.

MB will do mop up if we lead by 4 tds.

I say he finishes the season with around 400 yards and 3 Tds, all from mop up duty

Normally I agree but I don't think u put Brennan in with the starting unit in 3rd or 4th. It could mess up the timing burrow has been working to perfect up to the Texas game. Let burrow and 1st team offense play until 4th then if we are winning pretty good let Brennan play with the non top 4 wide receivers..... Maybe im way off though. Ensminger n Brady know what to do and what ever angle they try is prob the right one

I would say barring Burrow getting hurt that the staff would like to get Brennan a full half of a game to his own. The Northwestern State game would seem to be the ideal place for that to happen as we should be up big by halftime in that game. The Utah State game may be closer than a normal blowoff game would just because their QB is a Heisman worthy candidate. In truth they could sit Burrow for the entire NWST game but that won’t happen.

Brennan will play vs Ga Southern, NW St, Arkansas, Ole Miss and maybe Utah State because I am not sold on them, they lost not just the head coach, but the whole dang staff. You simply can't match that kind of success when you transplant a whole coaching staff.
so 5 games, probably 4-5 minutes a game. hopefully he can play like a whole half vs NW St but like you said, LSU will probably be up like 21-0 at half time then proceed to not score a single point in the 3rd quarter.

If he is healthy you’ll see it more this year when games are out of hand. No need for injuries this year.

He’ll run significant plays in cleanup duty to help prepare him for next season. O has enough sense to realize this is necessary for him to grow and improve as a QB and leader.

Hopefully a shitload. Means we’re winning big.

It would be good to get him in for a few series in some games.
But we can’t think that Joe Burrow is a five year NFL veteran.
He is still learning also and needs every snap he can get.
Nick Saban never took his starting QB out of the game at LSU (kept them in to the last play) and I’m guessing for the most part at Bama.
Go ahead and shoot me for saying that.
