How much film time was devoted to LSU this summer??
sEC coaches and other coaches breaking down our offense. I guarantee you will see some teams with new offenses next year trying to emulate Burrow and Co.

That wasn't a new offense last year. It might have been new to LSU but it's not a new offense

The scheme wasn't overly complicated, it would be replicable for any SEC Team. The only problem is no one has an RB and QB that can do anything, a great OL, A 6-4 WR that runs a 4.45, 2 1st round receivers and great coaches. Throw in Thad Moss too.

How would we know how much time another team’s staff put in watching game film? Not to flame but that’s a question that no one could possibly know the answer to.

That’s why it was a rhetorical question. My goodness, are you Literal Larry?

The difference is the personnel last year. Literally pick your poison.

Clyde is a swiss army knife. Caught 60 passes, blocked, tough & agile back that wears you down.

Moss is great at both blocking and receiving. High understanding of his role in the system.

Then you’ve got 3 freaks to try to cover at WR. Oh 1 or 2 need a sub? Here’s 6’6” Sullivan and 6’4” McMath for you to deal with.

Then there’s Burrow. Next level understanding and execution of the offense. Best statistical season for a QB ever against one of the hardest schedules ever.

It’s obvious all of those guys spent a ridiculous amount of time working with each other to get timing and rhythm down. It’s tough to get an entire group of guys willing to work that hard that understand and execute their roles as well as that group did.

While the offense was not brand new, I think more teams will try to emulate it.

The offensive revolution is over. The spread won.

Unless you can run any and every play in your playbook without subbing out you can't replicate what LSU did. Also no huddle. Have to call play at LOS.

This. Our weakest link on offense last year was Oline and they won best Oline.

Not much. Both Alabama and Clemson had LSU completely figured out. Then Burrow, Chase and Clyde happened.

We beat Clemson because they could not handle Chase. If you replace Chase with Racey that game would have been close even though LSU probably still wins. What busted it open was throwing deep to Chase.

Bama had great blitz calls that were well executed. Against a normal QB and RB they would have gotten sacks and had the ball in the fourth quarter with a chance to take the lead. Burrow beat the blitz with instant recognition and quick release, then Clyde did his thing.

I imagine both of those defensive staffs told themselves after the game that they had done all they could.

It was basically air raid concepts with elite offensive players. Plenty of schools run a similar style but don't have a Heisman winner at QB throwing behind a very good offensive line and throwing to multiple 1st round talents. Oh and also had a 1st round running back to hand it off to every now and then.
