Honestly I wouldn’t be opposed to giving him the reins if he comes in and does well. Everyone has already conceded that this is a complete rebuild. Why not prepare him for the future. He would only be here for 3 years anyway no matter if he redshirts. Just my .02.

If all goes well, you would want to get him a series or two. With the current redshirt rules, I would make sure to get him some game reps in the remaining OOC games.

Probably won't play a down all season. But I'd like to see them give him about four possessions over a couple of games late in the year. This would allow him time to learn the offense, and it would give him those memories to keep him motivated and learn from.
