I think it’s great to play a game at neutral site, instead of at there place but was curious to see what LSU got from it. Side question are there even 500 people at this game??

Not sure about finances but it can't hurt recruiting playing in these arenas and growing the brand.

All of the games are TV now days it doesn’t hurt to play in other places but it’s the advantage it once was.

1. The doubleheader was a sellout. UNLV beat BYU in first game which was packed.

2. Profits go to a health cause.

3. We get expenses only for this trip.

Why would you think we’re getting paid... without looking st Mary’s has been in the tournament probably more than us in a while... they should probably be asking us for money

No it wasn’t. Maybe 5,000 people. Our game may have been 2,000 though

straight from the 1970s.

Every game nowadays is on TV. Physically playing in other locations means nothing.

I think the game was a Cancer charity event, it wasn't to make LSU money..........

I’m not sure why I got downvoted.. I was in the building. The first game really wasn’t many people. 5-7500 max. Ours had no one

I've read that schools don't make much from bowl games after paying for the players, band, cheerleaders, others, etc. to travel. Plus, schools have to split bowl money with other SEC schools, right?

Bowls are good for extra practice in December, exposure to different audience, and a reward for the team.

My guess is playoff teams probably end up well in the black for their bowls.
