How many ways can you lose a ballgame?

Double digit walks? Check. And not the first time our staff has done that this year.

Missing a base? Check. But Saul has a hurt foot so it’s okay.

Dropping a sure out at home? Check. Those things happen but if you want to win an important game they can’t.

This program is a shadow of what it should be, even getting to a super. If Paul wants to keep coaching at LSU he needs to clean house. Dunn needs to go. He has had enough pitching to work with this year and has failed both at development and pitch selection.

Poor fundamentals all around. Despite what dumb frick Perez says , Beloso has to get lead runner first

Ball was not dropped. If you ever played baseball, then you would understand how that play can easily happen.

I’m pretty sure I admitted those things happen. But they can’t happen in this type of game. Your catcher has to make that play.

And you see the difference in fundamentals? Their guy hung onto the tag. Ours didn’t.

They are playing loose and we aren’t. I love our environment but sometimes I think it has the effect of putting a chip on our opponents shoulders and makes us play tight.

It’s what happens when you blow the first game when the same guys you count on to get the job done are the same guys that are consistently not good. It would have been one thing for Vietmeier to have a bad outing and give up that tying home run, but Fontenot wasn’t good and hasn’t been and Hess wasn’t good. And he also hasn’t been that great. That’s all on Dunn.

Easy to describe this in 5 letters.

Add bad base running, lazy catcher fielding, and bad middle infield play to the list

That was an out - ball game out from the momentum of showing the umpire; tag had been applied
