Honest question? Some on this board are just incapable of looking at this team objectively. Will these negas melt if we beat the canes? Those who have their hopes up the highest always fall the hardest.

Been looking in the mirror my friend? Looking at the team objectively means you are seeing them for what they are, not what you hope to see through purple and gold glasses.

"melt" is now the most mis-used and overused word on this site.

Are you really asking who is going to be mad if we beat a top 10 team in Jerry World on national television to start the season?

We objectively have a ton of question marks. People who are apprehensive are the ones being reasonable.

To address your question:

1) Using the term "Nega" or "Nega-tiger" automatically reveals to us all that you are a knuckle-dragger
2) No actual LSU fan will be upset if LSU wins the season opener over a traditional power and top 10 teams. For frick's sake.

I guarantee that when we win, there will be complaints on this board.
-should have used player x more
-shouldn’t have used player x
-didn’t go for first down
-shouldn’t have gone for first down
- what new offense?
-too much running
-not enough running
-Saban would have
-saban wouldnt have
-les would have
-les wouldn’t have

It’s gotten trite

Like it's always been. People pick apart games in minute detail regardless of the outcome.

But to act like anyone who is actually an LSU fan will be legitimately upset simply because we won is, at best, laughably disingenuous.

Zero. We are expected to beat top 10 teams on the regular.

Now, if we slam them, and then beat Auburn two weeks later, I would guess the most popular word would be "crow" and the most popular thread title will be "I guess I have to eat crow...". But then we'll find a way to barely squeak by La Tech and it'll be on again!!!

Awe, you're cute trying to play on my previous thread.

My point was that those of you who pump sunshine all day will be the ones bitching the most if LSU were to lose.

To think any LSU fan would be upset because they WON is just fricking asinine. But you do you, man.

I'll be ecstatic if we win the opener. I'd love for O to succeed, but I don't see him being successful long term. Hopefully, he changes my mind but I do t see it happening.

I have already discussed this today. I will not melt if we beat Miami, however, I am currently in a pre-melt, anyone is welcome to join me.

I have never, nor will I ever root for LSU to lose any game.

That's not saying I believe we'll win them all or that I think 0 is anywhere near the caliber of coach this program deserves though. I swear, it's almost like some people have zero reasoning skills when it comes to being objective.

Troll question, but honestly, I think the answer is "not many".

The nega-tiger angle was always "we have the team, but not the coaching, to win the title".

Beating Miami, to a nega-tiger, is expected. It's part of the pattern- an OOC opener against a decent team, where we win and show that we have the horses to make a run. The general rule of thumb is that we win early to get hopes up, and then crash and burn against Alabama (and then usually someone after that).
What would make the nega-tigers to start melting:
beating Auburn on the road, and then beating Bama. That should set up the West for us. If we lose to Auburn first, then beating Bama gets the monkey off our backs, but we still don't control our destiny (Auburn does).

Ultimately, the only real melt from the nega-tiger is winning the West outright. Until then, there's "hope" that we screw things up, and any decent win we get until that happens just adds fuel to the fire. It becomes a case of "see, I told ya so", and beating Miami early on shows "they were right".

Yes....negas will be negas....
What will really make their heads explode is when they realize Coach O “fixed” our QB problem.

How many delusional excuses will the Cheerios slobber over if Miami beats LSU?
