He’s been looking good. I know there’s no reason to rush things, but I think he would help us a lot as a Sunday guy. Hilliard and Hess has been lights out. Just a missing piece.

Keep Hess and Hilliard right where they are. If anything, move Labas in the Saturday spot.

Agree, but I do think Hillard is Saturday worthy.

Of course he’s worthy, there’s just no point in moving him yet.

Guy lost two games First game 1-0. Second game left behind 1-0. Why not worthy. Idea is to put your best against other teams best isn't it!

Just depends.

Often baseball is funny and keeping a guy where he is having success may often be best.

He may very well wind up the Saturday guy. He has earned it.

We have to hit better though.

He lost the games? Or does the offense blow dick right now and he gets no run support?

Wouldn’t bother me at all to put Labas in the Saturday spot. Just makes sense to put Hilliard in that spot, imo.

I see your point. We def need to hit better. Our hitting is horrible . Don't we have like most of team back from last year. As far as position players ?

I'm fine with anything you guys suggest because I'm pretty excited about what we can do with our arms this yr. Obviously Hess has nearly cemented the Friday night spot and I think the the other spots are still up for grabs.

My thoughts also Hillard has shown he is ready for the big lights and pressure situations. But I guess it's good either way , just need to get Gilbert out of rotation until he gets things straightened up. As season goes on we do need Gilbert to get it together.

Not really.. we are missing our middle infield, and best power hitter. (Kramer, freeman, and diechman). Not to mention Paperiski, who really turned it on in the post season. Plus the guys that are injured right now. A lot of new faces in the lineup right now. I think we will get better when we get our middle infield back. Broussard being out really hurts.

That's what I thought PM would do a while back but I suppose he's just letting Labas warm up. Not a real big deal at this time but i would get him in there ASAP.

I thought Nick was about to make his come back. What ever happened with that?

IMO, it will be Hughes. All depends how healthy Smith is when he returns. If they feel like he can move like he did before the injury, then I see them putting him back at SS. If he can’t, I see them putting Smith at 3rd, Hughes at short, and slaughter at first.
