I think if he was an EE(Sidenote, it's great to have so many EE's, im betting the way Kelly recruits that will become closer to the norm than the exception)he'd be starting week 1 but with 6-7 guys with starting experience it'll be tough but if he's as good as everyone believes it seems inevitable that he take a spot at some point. My questions are how long does it take and is he good enough to move Jones inside after Jones had a successful T-Fr season of experience at RT or is Jones far enough ahead to keep the RT spot and have Heard play RG. Big picture is Kelly and Davis have done an extraordinary job of rebuilding and restocking an O line faster than anyone could've hoped with youth like Campbell, Jones, Heard, West, Chester, Mubenga, Adam's etc, and we also know he can/will add through the portal if he sees a hole. Speaking of the portal, is Shorts expected to return, for depth purposes of course, since we lost a few guys to the portal

Honestly, Bradford leaving makes thag RG spot look pretty open. Either to Emory moving inside or Heard starting out at Guard.

You find a spot for Heard once he puts it all together. If he was here for spring, he would start day 1.

Having early enrollees have been the norm for a while now.

The inside push is every bit as important as the edge so you’re right about this. Have to get mentally and physically mature guys in those spots.

Who the starting center is my only concern on the line.

True but not 90% of the class. UGA/Bama had all but 3-4 of their kids enroll early. That's the new trend to EEs. More do than don't.

Tbh...I think dude is way to good to ever sit the bench...I honestly think they play him at RT and move Emory Jones inside as was the plan all along

You really have no idea. The same stuff was said about Kardell Thomes. That guy was going to come in like the new sheriff.

As crazy as it sounds I can see him being day 1 starter against FSU. Freaking athletic ability at that kind of size and will have all summer and fall camp to get acclimated. The way Emory Jones likes to play just seems to be more of a guard so he can use his physicality in the run game to move folks. Obviously you can not simulate game reps in the SEC but Heard should be able to handle it.

I’ve never been super impressed with Dellinger. I don't Know if he’s a guy who’s spot is written in stone.

Early signing day has a lot to do with this and also the No signing cap too.

Previously you could only bring in EE’s if you had undersigned previously and those EE’s had to replace players leaving the program early (the draft or transfer)

Now it doesn’t matter as long as you are under the 85 for the fall.

Jones and Campbell stepped up as true freshman and exceeded expectations but they are still outliers. Just expecting a true freshman o lineman to roll in and start is a gigantic ask, especially when there is a veteran group with lots of starts already on campus
