How is the perimeter defense so bad when we lost one guard from last season

Many of those threes were made with defenders closing in. They are just hitting lots of threes.

Terrible perimeter defense. No denying it.

1. Every player gets beat off the dribble repeatedly.
2. Other players then sag into the lane to help.
3. Other team gets wide open threes.
None of our guys move their feet to stay in front of their guy consistently.

It’s really mind boggling.
It was terrible last season too. But we had rim protectors to limit them to 3s. This season they spread us out shooting 3s or take it to the basket.

So frustrating to watch these games man. Can’t make a deep run in March with such inconsistencies. Not sure the players that Wade are recruiting.
