I sure hope this stuff gets sorted out before it starts becoming a distraction.

And the recruiting, this timing just sucks!

It's a tough spot because you want to keep the players safe but you don't want to seem like you are suffocating their expression about these matters either.

You tell them to be smart and stay out of trouble. Just don't be a dumbass.

It's tough. They are probably using what's happening to motivate the team to unite the state. Play hard and have fun.

Recruiting could take a serious hit with all that's going on.

Tiger Stadium will be an interesting place this fall for several reasons.

The KKK rallies don't take recruits away from Oxford, this shouldn't affect football either.

It is a sad sad day to see my hometown going through this though.

Actually, this was a prime topic for Les at the SEC Media Days this week. They have met with staff, team leaders, players, etc to keep their group focused and wary of getting sucked into the maelstrom.

I guarantee this is caused by outside agitators coming to BR with the intent of causing trouble.

I personally don't think this will have any effect on any kid who is serious about LSU. If not then they may use it as an excuse but it is just that, an excuse.

In fact, I believe this tragedy may actually unify this team with a purpose beyond football. This is the atmosphere where Les Miles will absolutely shine.

That being said, football and recruiting are such a minor thing in comparison to what is going on in this country. We have to get the young people of this country to understand that these radical views are un-American and that we have laws.

If we continue on this path then we are looking at martial law.
There are other things which will happen but I can't address them here because many on this forum will not understand the message and misconstrue it.

America has withstood far greater problems before and will again. God Bless America.

How do we think this affects security during games when there's around at least 120,000 people on campus?

Not to minimize the current issues, but Katrina and Rita hit in Miles first year.

Fats Domino was sleeping on the QBs couch.
The PMAC was essentially a MASH unit.
Helicopters (carrying injured to the PMAC) were constantly overhead for weeks.
