Some at bats look like he's just up there flailing.

He went up and got a high pitch for that double on a nice piece of hitting though.

That’s why I’m asking-in the games I watched, he looks to just swing at anything

He's too pull happy right now but he'll be fine.

He's not peaking too early...saving the fireworks for postseason.

I thought he had better at bats last night but he's still not himself yet.

He's been swinging like he's trying to hit everything 500 ft. He's only struck out 3 times in 20 plate appearances but he hasn't been squaring much up either. I think he's just too jacked up right now and needs to settle down and he'll be fine

I didn't watch any NC State games last year so only saw his highlights and his stats. I'm curious if he was always such a free swinger. Dude swings at almost every pitch thrown to him.

As far as how he looked, I still think he is hurting and it looks like some of his swings suggest that.

Most of his home runs were to CF and RF last year. Nothing about his swing this past week shows what he did last year...after he gets his first one out the way I think he'll relax some.

He reminds me of a golfer trying to outdrive his past record. Once he settles down his power alone will do the work.

He had a .425 OBP% last year and struck out just 50 times in 266 plate appearances last year (18.8% K rate). He's a free swinger but not an out of control, feast or famine type hitter either. So basically not Jobert

Fastest bat barrel I have seen in a long time. Tex pitcher tried to pitch low and inside like 7 pitches in a row. He fouled 6 of them off with several rifled down the 3B stands. He got the last one into the LF corner for a standup double. Most batters would have just swung and missed on most of them as they were real good pitches with heat and location.

I think there might be a slight mechanical issue in his swing with his shoulder not 100%. He is rolling over a lot.

Yea, I knew that and I agree he will be fine once he relaxes some.

Yea, I knew all the stats and he obviously has bat control with how much contact he makes. Still seems he can use a little more discipline that way when he does swing it is a pitch he can do better damage with.

Just wasn't sure if maybe he showed a little less aggressiveness last season or if he is just a player that likes to be aggressive and attack the ball early in counts.

Don't take anything I'm posting as I'm worried about him either. I'm not worried at all besides health. Just a curiosity deal.

Correct. He's a top hand dominant hitter, but is having to rely more on the bottom hand. The result is being very jumpy and pull happy.

I still feel like they should be giving those at bats to Pearson and Kling until White is fully healthy. Doesn't matter how much White wants to play or show his toughness. Get him rest and when it feels back to 100% you get him back at 3B.

I saw him stretching that shoulder out when he was on second. Got to be still bothering him. I guess the staff decided reps are better than rest.

Honestly just think he's trying to be a hero on every swing. He started the season in a little slump and he's pressing to try and end it. I think once that first one leaves the yard, he will go on a monster tear.

How do you think he hit 27 HRs last year?
