Gio, Bianco, Hal, Cranford, Willis, Dugas

Combined: 11-85 (.129 avg) 1 hr and 5 RBIs

Before the “pitcher is just having a hell of a game” folks show up. We heard the same thing from a winless Nichols and bottom tiered EKU team...

How can anyone objectively say we are a solid team and has what it takes to get past a regional?

These are guys that have all had quality at bats. They were are highly recruited.

Is LSU baseball standard complacency now with this coaching staff?

Strikeouts: ** stolen from another thread.

97 in 11 games and 8 innings - that's 8+ a game

And not against SEC caliber pitching in most of the games.

CPMs teams have never improved over the season.

Never.

But to answer your question, yes. If those 5 guys continue to bat a collective .130 LSU will not make a regional. Congratulations.

Bianco, Hal, Dugas, Willis, Gio have regressed.. how many more at bats do they honestly need? None of them are comfortable at the plate.

What the hell is Nolan Cain doing? We sacrifice hiring an elite hitting coach so he can allegedly spend all of his waking time assembling a championship roster, and this is what we have the work with?

We don’t hit the ball well. We look like a regional 2 or 3 seed right now.

I think the hitting will improve, but it's more about the players than the coaches in this situation.

A good friend of mine plays for Tulane, and has for the last couple of years. He said that Smith doesn't really focus on mechanics so much as a hitting coach, but mentality and approach. He said once they all bought into what he was saying, the hitting improved drastically.

So I really do thing if Smith can get these guys to buy into what he's saying, our hitting will see a jump.

Develop your hitters in fall practice, I don’t recall Skip having this problem as often. Maybe the geniuses can explain it to me.

I pointed it out last night, but I’ll say it again.

Hitting Cabrera 3rd is moronic on Maineiri’s part

You can go a second consecutive game with the game ending (if we go down 1-2-3) with your best hitter in the on-deck circle

For the love of God, please give your best hitter more plate appearances

You gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers.

I agree on all but Willis. And that's just because I am not up to speed on how many AB's he's gotten.

So if we make a regional, credit to CPM for doing a great job with this lineup?

He recruited the players

It ain’t like we’re waiting on him to get his recruits into the program

looks like nobody could hit today, 1 - 9 in the lineup! won't be the last time that happens this year... long season ahead!

So if we make a regional, we credit CPM for recruiting good players then?
