Hoops roster could be an issue going forward
Depending on Darius Days’ injury, could be down to 7 scholarship players.

LINK to Roster

If Days is out for a prolonged period of time, I assume they will pull the redshirt off Cooper.

Hyatt is coming off a serious injury in High School. I think they were planning on rehabbing him the entire year.

I’ll say it...

Obviously life is bigger than basketball...but from a pure basketball standpoint, Wayde Sims’s death was a devastating blow to this team. The guy hustled, played hard every second, was a quality player, could play inside and outside...he would have been Darius Days but better. With Wayde Sims, I think this team is undefeated

I say undefeated because I think LSU beats FSU, then doesn’t have a mental letdown vs an inferior opponent, beats Nova, then hangs on vs Houston..

Yeah we were supposed to be 10 deep this year, and to lose Days, Sims, and Edwards before really hitting conference play is rough. Hopefully Days is ok and isn't out for too long.

Someone give me some back story. I listened to the game this morning but didn’t hear the part where days got injured.

Ankle I’m assuming?

Knee. He went up for a rebound and one of the Arky players tried to box him out while he was in the air and took his knee out. I didn’t exactly see what happened, just that he landed awkwardly. They didn’t show a replay at the game, I’m assuming because the arky folks were mad that it wasn’t over the back, and a replay would have proved them all wrong

Are there any football players that could help out?

Isaiah Joe bided him out but made ZERO effort to play the ball ans aa soft balance. Joe was using all of his weight against days ans aas squatting low. Days jumped, Joe lost balance, Joe fell on the ground, so when Days landed Joe’s weight went against Days’s straight leg...fricked knew waiting to happen.

Also, Smalls, Edwards is done for the season

Why are we redshirting anyone in a sport where they can leave after any year?

If he is healthy, he should play.

We have more “roster talent” this year than we have had since Shaq was on campus

I’d say the NCAA is more of a concern than talent

that is the way I saw it also...Joe , from a sitting position, and with Days against his back, kicked backward as hard as he could, causing Days to have to dive over Joe, forward....Days landed in Joe's lap then fell to the floor awkwardly.....also ARK#2 tried to do the same thing to Mayes from a fall position pushing back under.....

Probably need to start getting Marshall Graves some minutes if we are up. This kid can play

I didn't get a good look, but read in the game thread that it looked like a hyperextended knee.

You guys are crazy with the football player talk.

And Cooper is redshirting because he is skinny and they wanted to put some weight on him. He wasn’t expected to be needed, but with Sims and the other injuries, he may be.

I don’t think Hyatt is an option. He is rehabbing a high school knee injury.

Marshall Graves is a good player, for a walk-on, but post depth is what we need.
