oh jesus christ, knew that was coming eventually. just stop now. then most of saban's success at bama is because of shula. that is the most ridiculous argument every time someone brings it up, yet people still go back to it

We started talking about Miles and how his true offense over the years has struggled. He went on to make analogies about Charles McClendon and how he would throw up impressive seasons but would lose to a good team and just never could really hack it. He then went on to talk about something that I was denial about. It was the fact that the soul reason we can credit 8 wins out of every season is because of John Chavis. I thought about what he said on the phone for a minute to try and fire back with a "ohh that's bull shite" but I couldn't muster up the words, the man was right. Since Les Miles has been at LSU we havent had a consistent enough(Les developed QB)offense to win more then two games a season, the rest you might as well credit the defense and running game which take no scheme it's just smashmouth.

7-4 was considered a good season under Charlie Mac.

Mac never really came close to winning a NC.

Miles has won one and played for another.

I must reiterate.

You and your father are both retarded.

LSU has never had it so good as with Miles leading the team.
You and dad sit down and have a look at the records book in the media guide and stare at each other in wonderment of how wrong you've been all this time.

Les took those players with a season of development and did more with them than his predecessor.
Saban's players under Les Miles savored more victories and successful seasons than any players before them.....yes even the ones under Saban.

and

I love how you set up the thread with comments like
quote:

Quote:
"some I just didn't want to believe but they were indisputable facts", and

Quote:
"I thought about what he said on the phone for a minute to try and fire back with a "ohh that's bull shite" but I couldn't muster up the words", and even

Quote:
"I love Les and I love LSU and the results of the program are fantastic"
only to wait for replies to unleash your true negatiger hackness. Great job hack!

You and your father do know that one of the main reasons LSU's (that's right LSU's not Chavis') defensive statistics are so good is because of Miles' system of ball control offense right? And field position also contributes a great deal to the defensive stats, so chalk up one for the special teams as well.

You see, something that seems to be lost on you and your dad is that football is a team sport. And the HC is in charge of/responsible for ALL OF IT! You've gone negatiger on Les for the LSU offense but give no credit for the LSU defense or special teams? If he's responsible for the offense (ie the bad part in your eyes, see comments above for a possible different perspective) then he must get credit for the defense and special teams (the good part). It's his program and "master plan" and he is 80-18 since he has been here, but apparently that's not good enough for you and your father.

I guess he needs to have the #1 rated defense, #1 rate scoring offense and #1 rated special teams before he will make some people happy.

But then again maybe not, you just can't please some people no matter what.

Just a opinion from two people guys. Gotta love getting the rants panties in a bunch we morale is low.

The "jump to justification" through slander and statistical arguments really shows the insecurities yall have about the football team.

Flame On guys I'm eating this up and not quite full yet.

Not quite. This:
quote:

Look how that worked out for the OC we hired, oops it's the quarterback coach now.
is not an opinion, it's an attack. As was already pointed out, the team is 18-1 since that hire, seems like it "worked out" pretty good to me. Care to comment on that and why 18-1 sucks so much, or do you just want to keep talking about everyone's panties?
quote:

After getting a good laugh from reading some of yalls comments...it becomes almost to a point of annoyance
But you still haven't said anything intelligent in response.

his OP basically said that Chavis is the only reason we're not on the level of Ole Miss and that we'll be losing 4+ games a year when he leaves. That, however, is not disputed by any facts or past history. In fact, past history says just the opposite. It's as if he thinks Chavis has been at LSU a long time or something, or even more than half of Les' tenure at LSU.

this was my favorite part
quote:

Since Les Miles has been at LSU we havent had a consistent enough(Les developed QB)offense to win more then two games a season

so what about 2007 when we set all sorts of offensive team records? someone already said the defense sucked in 2007 (overrated maybe but it was still really good), so how to you figure we managed to win 12 games and a national title with a bad defense and a bad offense? magic?

Responding to you intelligently would be like painting a picture for the blind. Nothing I can say to you or most on this thread would be taken with a grain of salt. So what's the point of continuing to voice an opinion when the conversation is going no where because everyone is so butt hurt over a OPINION. I like they way you bitch though, like a girl when does when she doesn't hear what she wants to hear.

An impressive season for Charlie Mac would be considered mediocre today. His teams really weren't too special. sorry.

ETA: This is BY FAR the best decade of LSU football. Nothing remotely compares over a stretch of 10 years.

You still haven't said anything intelligent - just sophomoric insults and personal attacks.

Why won't you man up and tell us all how you think our 18-1 record since we got a new OC has "worked out" for us?
