It distressed me that players don't stay with program if they are beat out.

Not really team guys.

Injuries happen.

Someone must already be saying he's transferring if he's not starting.

They have to do what they think is best for their future. Sorry that someone doing what's best for their life over your favorite sports team distresses you.

These big time players out of high school all expect to start in college. Sometimes they just can't handle getting beat out.

That’s why it was important to get a QB in this class. We could have 2 scholarship QBs on the roster.

Look celticdog, as a high school hotshot (especially qb) you only get ONE college career. YOU HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE YOU CAN PLAY. I don't blame these kids one bit. There arse is kissed everywhere they turn during recruiting, then they land somewhere and are beaten out by an equal yr or younger player. Unless they fall in love with their school and find a major they love to concentrate on a degree, it's a no brainer to leave. You have to remember, 99% of these kids don't grow up bleeding p&g (or any school for that matter) these days.

Yep. QB should be signed in every class no exceptions. People that ignored and rationalized not signing a QB this year are blind. We will go into next year with 2 out of the three QBs we have now, and we aren’t grooming anyone for the future. More of the same to come from LSU qb play.

Top seem to be able to hold on to at least three.

You sir are correct...This is why we have to sign a q.b in every class without fail..These kids transfer and leave you in a bind...

Well, we have three quarterbacks on staff and a possible JuCo also coming in. One of those guys will be buried so deep on the depth chart that he will never see the field. Can't really fault him for transferring.

Go rewatch the press conference. That's not what O said at all. Someone reported fake news that he must have thought he heard O say. But nonetheless, go rewatched the press conference. O never said one of the quarterbacks may transfer after the Spring.

All O said is he has the name of a couple of QBs who may transfer. He was asked for their names and when he would possibly sign one of them. O said he didn't know and would look into it more following spring practice. That's all he said. Then the next thing you know the Advocate is all of a sudden reporting something he never said.

Everybody missed it but apparently only one reporter. Go back and watch the press conference. O never said one of the QBs might transfer after the spring. Apparently, Ross Dellinger must have been smoking something strong just prior to that press conference. As he heard and reported something no one else heard or reported.

Wow. You people suck. I have never seen so many apologists for immaturity and bad decision making in my life.

Bottom line is LSU has to develop a reputation for offense.

We do that, the QB that loses the battle may be willing to stay even if it's for probably only one year as a starter, because they'd gain more in that one year than they would in 2+ years somewhere else.

Right now that cost/benefit ratio isn't in favor of LSU for QBs.

QB is the one major position that doesn’t typically have a rotation, nor is there a closely related position that a young man can typically play in spots.

If an upper classman is getting passed up by younger guys, then I don’t blame him for transferring. Likewise, I don’t really care for guys transferring after only a year or so.

If Brennan wins the job and is good enough to be 3 and done to the NFL that would give Narcisse 2 years starting. This is obviously the best case scenario. But an LSU QB hasn't gone to the NFL after 3 years for as long as I can remember. I know Mauck and JR left with another year of eligibility but neither were only 3 years removed from HS.

If Narcisse wins the job however things aren't looking good for Brennan

I read the article. He probably means McMillian. As long as it is not Brennan or Narcisse we are OK. I feel comfortable with these two in the stable.

Yeah. If LN wins the starting job, I'd say that Brennan probably leaves because he's ahead of LN eligibility wise. Even then though. Honestly, if you go into camp with the experience and the position and the guy who hasn't played real football since he was a Jr in HS beats you out, maybe you ought to just stay. You're probably not pro material and, the guy who just beat you out has 2 questionable knees.

If Brennan wins the job, I see no logical reason for LN to transfer. I can't imagine schools would be beating his door down and again, there's no guarantee that Brennan goes out there and kills it and there's no guarantee he stays health.

I would think that at the least, LN would see how 2018 played out and then make a decision at the end of the year.
