There's nothing to understand.
When you have a coach that can't recognize a kid that's throwing well...in a situation where you are desperate for a guy to chew up innings and get you to the back end, you really have nothing.
It's a miracle he didn't remove Javon Coleman yesterday.

If you're gonna use Hellmers, Hilliard and Marceaux why not pitch those guys first and let them give you everything they can? Then you goto the other guys if you have to.

It's very easy to understand with Paul. He has his mind set on retiring and not really wanting another game so he giving practically every guy on his roster a chance to pitch. For me I know nothing about coaching but I'm street smart I stick with what works. Had at least 3 or 4 pitchers that had me scratching my head thinking why would he put those guys in but he just wants to give those guys experience and hurry up into retirement
