Do this years starters have more potential going into the season than we did a few years ago assuming a healthy Hill?

I think so, but not by much.

Skenes > all 3
Hurd > all 3
Floyd tbd

If Floyd is who I think he is, we have 3 aces. Labas was never ace material. Great Sunday guy, I love him, but never an ace.

Most definitely yes. This team has 3-4 Ace caliber pitchers their staff. That team had Hill and Marceaux as far that goes. Labas was disappointing more times than not.

Skenes is better than any of those three.

Arguably, so is Hurd.

Floyd vs. Labas is a pretty good comparison as well - Floyd definitely has better stuff.

I like Labas and he did some good things at LSU but he would be a middle relief guy at best on this staff. It’s that good.

Hill wasn't SEC ready. Labas was middle of the pack. Landon was pretty darn good.

Hill had insane potential, but was basically hurt his whole time here. If he stayed healthy he probably could’ve been a top of the first round guy.

This teams weekend rotation is easily better than them. Not saying they were terrible but this years pitching is loaded. We have legit 6 weekend starters on this roster. Bullpen is deep as ever. It’s going to be a fun year

Marceaux could start on this team but not the other two.

Wouldn’t Little have a shot at the rotation too? Seemed like he was a big arm that would contribute in the rotation

If the new pitching coach takes our returning pitchers to another level then you could argue the pitching is as good as the hitting on this team.

We’ve already got Taylor and Floyd pitching fantastic and if you add in the transfers it’s insane

Hill was never healthy enough for long enough to really deliver on his potential, but he showed flashes of being dominant Friday Ace stuff. Don't recall him having many if any really extended outings though. Marceaux coming in was inconsistent but overall good. By the time he left he was great and the kind of pitcher any team would want. Labas as mentioned was kind of a prototypical Sunday workhorse. He had his off outings but overall was solid. I don't know enough about this year's starting rotation (including for sure what the rotation will be) but if hype==potential then yes, definitely.
