when was the last time a QB threw 4 INTERCEPTIONS and his team still won the game?

Uh, FWIW, Lee and Flynn both threw 3 ints against Alabama in back-to-back years, in regulation. LSU won that one by a whisker. So it can be done.

Lee's 4th int was in OT. If '07 LSU had gone into OT against Dick Satan, Flynn mighta thrown 4 also. (note: none of MFs were allowed to go the distance)

the turnovers that were caused by Lee were momentum killers for us

Yes, they were, but that momentumwas actually there because of Lee as well...

So it would just seem to me that if we have the chance to play someone that came in just like lee did with little playing time and had fewer turnovers then we should play him.

Absolutly, as long as whomever comes in has the same "upside" that Lee showed, as well...

Looks like the report was inaccurate.

Jarret Lee leaves LSU. Transfers to UTIP (University of Texas at El Intercepted Paso)

Yeah, that's what everyone KNOWS, now...

But they were saying the same stuff about him after the Chikkin' sammich bowl that people are saying about JJ right now.

Now, no one wants a great career for JJ more than myself.. unless you include his own LSUmomma... but I am just saying, let's not write out the starting lineup for our next bowl game right now, okay???

Must be something about thos Chick/Peach Bowl performances. Wasnt there a clammer about Flynns performance there, and that should have guaranteed him the start the next year?

First Flynn, then Burns, now JJ?

I'll take the guy that played lights-out the last game, and with only 1 game under his belt as a starter, that would be JJ. He also played very well in the Ark game (considering it was his first start ever and he was a true freshman) until they shut him down in the second half.

JL had 10 times the experience that JJ had (two camps and several starts), and did not perform as well. I take performance on the field any day.

If lack of film study was his problem and he didn't study his arse off after his first bad game or two, he has much greater problems.

The QB coach may have said this, but I don't believe this can true.

Maybe immaturity, cockiness, lack of devotion, or any number of things that would make someone not put in all of the hard work neccessary to perform at an optimum level. These are things that take often take a lot of time to change so I would like to know the real reason behind him not studying enough film, if that is the case.

Momma, you can't tell most of these people anything good about a QB they think is bad. You can't remind them that he was a freshman. You can't remind them that he came in and led us in victory @ Auburn. You can't point out the good stretches in games, because of the interceptions. The fact that many interceptions were returned for TDs amplifies it in their memory. For some fans, his legacy is already irreparable, unless he wins the Heisman or leads LSU to a BCS championship.

It's a shame, because some of them act like he wanted to throw the interceptions, or, at best, Freshmen never develop, and that he's incapable of improving throughout his career.

I like all of our QBs. I want them all to do well.

Here is what I learned about JL today
Well the film study sounds logical b/c JL couldn't read any defensive set on any down. This was evident that if you watched JL last year you would notice that he was pretty effective when he his primary receiver was open, but he struggled and almost paniced when he was forced to look at his second receiver, or God forbid his third receiver. So his arse better be learning how to read defenses and study film or he will be playing at some multi-directional school in 2010

JL MAY start the season at #2, BUT will p1ay more than the others. LM felt "pressure" and forced himself to play JJ. Let's keep in mind the truth. The GENIUS OC Crowton was no better than AZZWIPE on CBS ANALYST CALLING the plays before they happened in ALL of those game! A change of pace would be more like it. JL WAS THE THIRD RATED QB GOING INTO LAST SPRING BEFORE THE RP CRAP! JR struggled during his tenure at LSU from lack of film study. GO look at Nicko's trust in his playing time. As most people would say, if the 2nd QB was better than the first, he would be playing. The injury situation to Hatch hurt him more than anything. Get real, JJ will NOT be able to run the ball if LSU Can't RUN the football. LAST YEAR WE SUCKED! That start's with Herman Johnson. He Sucked at Run Blocking. He won't sniff the field in the NFL unless he improves his footwork. We have to be able to run the rock. it is that simple. When Arkansas figured that out, they ate JJ up. He played about 3/4's total time that would win in the SEC last year. That is it. The SEC defenses will eat his lunch if he doesn't learn to read. just ask JL.

Think before I type? Tell me where I was wrong. Should CM have caught that ball? Hell yea. His arse should have gotten yanked from the game after that. But overall, everyone on the team except Lee played well enough to win that game. If you disagree, you weren't watching the same game as me. The D continued to get the ball back to the offense, and Lee threw 4 picks. He let his teammates down. Period. End of story.

You're stupid. Go back and LISTEN to the annoucers. You will learn CROWTON LOST THAT GAME AZZWIPE

There may have been an isolated instance or two of this but all-in-all Crowton is a great OC. Keep things in perspective. Our DL put us behind in almost every game and JL was essentially our only QB option after Hatch was hurt.

no you have a good bit of common sense, and we actually agree on a lot fwiw.

tojo is just a fricking jarrett lee homer.

he's probably 60 years old and has a JL shrine built up in his living room.
