Help settle this debate about LSU season tickets

I am trying to tell my buddy that we can find two lower level tickets to every home game on a week by week basis, and that it will be cheaper than getting officlal season tickets through LSU. Here is my breakdown of the schedule and what I think I can find two lower level tickets for each game:
SLU - $40 total
La Tech - $40 total
Ole Miss - $100 total
Georgia - $400 total
Miss. St. - $100 total
Alabama - $400 total
Rice - $40 total
Grand total - $1,120
What do y’all think of my estimates? The one catch is we do NOT want to walk around the stadium at kickoff to find tickets. I realize doing that would probably save us money on every game except Georgia and Alabama.

You’ll be able to find tickets to every game, weekly and a good chance they’ll be lower than face.
UGA and Bama will just depend on LSU’s record.
You can ALWAYS find lower bowl tickets to EVERY game, and if you wait near kickoff they’re ALWAYS lower than face.
You may get the SLU tickets for free, if you stand next to the gate. If not they’ll be giving them away at tailgates during the day.
Same with La Tech and Rice.
ETA: the SLU is the home opener so they may not be throwing them around, but you’ll be able to find some really cheap ones.
God forbid we lose to Miami and you’ll find free ones for sure.

Your estimates look ok to me. Because there is not much enthusiasm this year, I think you probably could come out better buying tickets around campus for every game individually. I don't like the stress of dealing with that every game and therefore have not done it much.
I think on a year over year basis, it probably wouldn't work out quite so well, but this year may be a good one to try that strategy.

I went ahead and got the season package for 2, because I can buy them every year now. Also, gonna get chairbacks, and it’s a mostly a shaded area, which was a major selling point for me

Oh, that's a safe bet. Way less. Part of having season tickets is 'having season tickets' but also, I never think of tickets all season long.

Let me come sit on your lap during day games until about the 4th Qtr.
I’m in 237 and it’s hot as hell for those first 3 qtrs.

Do you have to order chair backs through LSU for your season tickets or how does that work?

You can’t get tickets for all of those games for one third of your projection outside the stadium on game day. Bama could be the only problem. Been doing it for years.Sometimes, many people giving away tickets. Westside,30 minutes before kick off.

This is probably a dumb question, but who installs them? And how do they hold up with weather conditions?
Posted on 7/16/18 at 8:32 pm to jac1280
SLU, La Tech, and Rice will be cheaper than $40 30 mins before kick off.

LSU will install them and they hold up pretty well. They will replace them if something is wrong.

Yep, you order chair backs through season tickets. It's really not that much, like $5 a game or something like that.

Your estimates are WAY to high!!

agreed...those things look pretty indestructible to me. I have thought of getting them installed on a couple of my seats.

Free as the Wind close to and after kickoff.
I gave up my Season Tickets many years ago and definitely DO NOT miss them.....…….

Your math is reasonable. Unless you just wanna sit in the same seats every game follow your plan. Let’s say the Rice game is a freezing day with rain. Now you don’t have to worry about selling your tickets to it.

Though I'd agree that the OP's pricing is on the higher side, glad to see I'm not the only one who's done this math.
It's like when my circles of friends graduated they were all racing to get on the waiting list.......for what???
Pay for the right to sit east or west upper? Ha, no. Show up with cash and never miss a game, not even the biggest ones, and don't pay for the "right" to buy those tickets.

Estimates are too high. You’ll get them much cheaper with patience of waiting until that last 30 min before kickoff.
