Not a negatives, but after re-watching the Wisconsin & State games, it appears that we have a sub-par O Line, D line, Rush defense, Pass offense, Rush offense and Field Goal/Extra Point Team.

Oh yeah, and we got clocked by f*#king Mississippi State in pretty much every facet of the game!

That ain't "Elite" in anybody's book folks.

I'm seriously concerned that this could be 5-7 season without drastic improvement now! And I don't know that we have the talent, coaches or HEART for that kind of turn around!

Any thoughts?

Maybe. But we thought the same from 08-09, only to do pretty well in 10 and have the best season ever in 2011.

We'll see. Anyone calling for Les' head is pretty daft considering what other SEC schools are currently going through.

I don't think anyone at this point expects LSU to compete for a conference title this year.

Thus, if you include this season, we have 1 SEC Championship and 0 major bowl victories in the last 7 seasons.

That's anything but "elite".

I think we have come full circle back to the end of the Dinardo era. The pre-Saban days. It's been a great 15 year run. But these things run their course and it has lasted much longer than most runs. Things are never as fun on the back side of a successful run. That's when the hangover sets in.

Skill players on each side are there but the lines suck. We need JUCO DTs next season and better coaching on OL.

Its a young team taking its lumps. The wins/ loss won't tell the tale as much as improvement and progress from game to game. How they handle Auburn/Florida will say alot. Not necessarily winning as much as being better In each game.

You think perhaps we could wait until after 4 games into the season to evaluate it? Much less the state of the program?

Speak for yourself. I'm still enjoying this age of lsu football. I guess I was just naive growing up. I used to think lsu fans were amazing. Until I realized a sizable portion are self loathing chicken little pussies.

You do realize the last seven years would include 2007.

If we're really back where we were at the end of Dinardo's era, then the only thing that can fix that is a coaching change.

But the question remains, have we really fallen that far, or are we just hitting the panic button after a couple of really bad games?

I don't know!

He wants to count this year so it makes his stats look worse. A true 7 year look back has us with two SEC titles, one national title, one loss in a championship game and four bowl wins.
