Win or loose this weekend is there any reason we should doubt this man as good fit for this school?

My least favorite talking point with Kelly was "He's not a fit".

He's a good dude that wins football games. That's a fit in Louisiana. The Boutte situation won me over honestly. His job is more than just games. But he does win those more than he doesn't.

This weekend won't define BK's tenure nor will it define the season.

We CAN and likely WILL be upset IF the team has a bad loss, which will most likely come at some point - maybe even Saturday (hopefully not). But doubting him? I won't.

I think he's proving to have a process that is working. Give him a few recruiting classes and I fully expect us to be in the hunt on a yearly basis. And I haven't seen anything since the season has started that says "not a fit for LSU".

Even the loss in week 1 showed halftime adjustments and improvements in-game, and fight until the end. That's all you can ask for from a competent coach.

If he gets blown out by Alabama half of the LSU fan base will hate him again.

If he loses a close game to Alabama, 1/3 of the LSU fanbase will hate him again.

Not a shite show as in previous seasons. Divas and drama are gone(from what the average fan can see). Don’t see kids getting in trouble over stupidity. Players seem to have bought into his system. That’s a great start.

Plus winning always helps.

When this was the main reason for people nationally not liking the hire I knew LSU had a good one. It wasn’t his coaching ability. It wasn’t his organization ability. It was “he’s not a good fit”. Ok you just don’t like that LSU hired him and are reaching at an intangible that you really can’t even measure.

People talking about whether he was a good "fit" stupidly focused on the perceived cultural differences between BK and Louisiana. Whether he is a good fit should be based on whether his system, his hiring practices, recruiting strategy, etc. would work for LSU. The culture of LSU football is not crawfish boils and zydeco. We want a culture of winning and sustaining success. That's what BK was brought in to do. So far, he has been a fit in that department.

and that is what we would call "identifying the problem" to weed them out.

Thank you. His job is to win games and he’s proven over his whole career he can do it. Let the fans and the Ops staff bring all the other cool Louisiana-flavored stuff to the table.

That entire regurgitated narrative is a completely subjective negative theme made up and said by people who have no coaching experience once so ever. How does one come to a conclusion like that when his teams have consistently competed at the highest level with lower talented teams? More times have I seen his Notre Dame teams get out played by pure talent than I have seen them get out coached.

I like him a lot so far. The fan base will flip every time we lose or play bad. Every time we don’t get a recruit and so on.

It's awesome that this late in the season we still control our own destiny in the SEC, but that's just gravy.

He's doing all of the little things right. He has faith in his coordinators. He's motivated his players. He's strong on discipline, but fair.

I got so pissed with the narrative too. Because our last 2 coaches were complete idiots, the media made it out to be that we had to hire a 3rd complete idiot. Any coach who says “we need to restore LSU to Bama’s standards” is a good fit, and the fact that he’s essentially 7-1 (frick FSU) with a patched up team and 2 freshman tackles means he’s willing to back this up.
