So, Perkins is our next great LB?

Sevyn Banks had 4 tackles. Glad he finally played to knock some rust off before we start the bulk of SEC play.

Did we sit Ward and Ojulari? Neither registered any defensive stats.

Ward and Ojulari are nicked. Perkins showed tonight that he’s an absolute unit and is going to be a major problem for opposing offenses. Hope the dude stays healthy because he’s the next Beckwith, DW caliber dude for LSU.

Sevyn Banks looked good from what I saw. He's got some size for a corner

It's so painfully obvious how gifted Perkins is when he's out there.

Looks like they gave Savion Jones the sack on the play that he and perk made but that should have been 0.5 for each imo

I was so happy to see how the defense performed last night with as many starters out. Backups really stepped up. Perkins is a beast!

Perkins in very quick to the ball. And he puts the lick when he gets there.

Absolutely. He has a nose for the ball and knifes through traffic to make a hit. Early in the 3d qtr, on a 3d and 2, NM ran up the middle. RB ran into Wingo and Roy up top, but when you look at the play from the rear there is Perkins off the edge with the RB wrapped up down low and NOT going anywhere.

He has a nose for the ball, and is only going to get better. Props to CBK for getting him to LSU and the staff for leveraging his skill sets. His best FB is still yet to come. GT!

There's not even a question mark for me. Even on plays he didn't get the tackle, he was right there. It's unbelievable how good that guy is.

Yes, Ward, Burns, Ojulari, and maybe Jones DNP. Not sure about Jones.

If Perkins and Baskerville start against FSU we win that game. LB was easily our worst performing position on defense that game and they didn’t even play (Perkins played only a few snaps I think). They make that much of a difference.

Perkins is another Devin White. Incredible speed and also played running back in high school. You can see he has major wheels and hits people with force. And he’s only a freshman!

Yes, and I hope we have somebody just as dominant to put with him on the front 7 besides Maason next year. He will feast.

This is the kid that everyone on the recruiting board said “do not want” after his interviews. They trashed him because he was looking for NIL deals. This should go to show you they are teenagers getting recruited by millionaire coaches, with fanbases obsessing over them, be careful what you say. Look at him now, he will probably be the recruit you look at as Brian Kelly’s building block player from his first recruiting class.
