yeah I can see where you may not get where I am coming from on this.....but then, I am dealing with a lot of desperate college kids that act as if their whole life depends on whether tm plays ball for lsu again.

-Kid messed up
-LSU wanted to wash their hands of him
dismissed him, expected him to transfer (as miles said)
-Kid decided he wanted to stay
-Senior officals saying he is permanently off the team....just for the hell of saying it.
-LSU starts to be very careful of what they say, and most definitely getting legal advice.

but you know.....hell I'm a dumb arse....what do I know......you guys are probably right, LSU is foaming at the mouth to get him back on the team they kicked him off of...

The only way I can see this going down like VC suggests is if TM had failed enough tests to be expelled, and instead of that LSU negotiated his departure with his NCAA eligibility intact. Then after that paperwork was signed TM backed out of actually leaving, and now they're trying to figure out how the hell to handle it.

But that doesn't seem as likely to me as TM initially told LSU to get bent and he'd transfer and now he had a change of heart.

oh...so lsu offered at first.....tm rejected it....lsu got pissed, and is now playing hardball with him. I see.

Yes. However, I would phrase it like this: LSU told TM that he would be suspended for a year, as the drug policy calls for. TM said no, and LSU had no choice but to dismiss him. After thinking it over, TM began considering accepting the punishment in order to stay at LSU. Now he's meeting with LSU to discuss that possibility. I guess it's entirely possible that LSU will stick to their "permanent dismissal" and are merely meeting with TM out of respect, but I highly doubt that.

I wouldn't categorize it as "hardball."

(and this is totally my opinion of what has been happening. I have no clue what's going on like everyone else.)

Aunt and uncle are his guardians and he thinks of them as his parents, yes. Dad is locked up and mom is a piece of shite.

it's not really that hard to see what is going on here if you take a step back and are objective. I'm not against LSU , nor am I against TM. I am pretty sure that some of you can actually see that lsu is being VERY CAREFUL of what they say....

TM can't get on ESPNs weekly hilight show playing at McNeese, for all the scouts to see.

You seriously think NFL scouts can't get some footage from McNeese if they need it?

TM fails drug test

Refuses and wants to transfer
Visits schools over the weekend
Expresses interest about taking the one year option at lsu

This isn't hard to figure out

This is what I am hoping happened. It makes sense. I immediately wondered what happened to test failure #3.

It's unfortunate that the coaches and admins weren't more vague in the PC, however. People like Guilbeau took their words and ran with it.

I'm not 100% expecting to have mathieu back in 2013 but I'm not gonna write it off as an impossibility or twisting LSU's existing drug policy like a dumbass. We don't have all the facts.

not true at all...just GG starting shite...

but, after how poorly the gumps have talked about him....wouldn't it be ironic to see them suddenly have a change of opinion of him....

I'm amazed that someone of such high intellect is having a hard time seeing that LSU is working with Tyrann to make the best decision for him. What legal issues would LSU being dealing with in this case?
