Yeah, terrible idea

you keep throwing this out here like playing for LSU his senior season is an option. Although, I suppose you even think that just staying at LSU this year and entering the 2013 draft would be better than going d1...which is wrong.

WTF are you talking about?

This isn't about LSU "wanting" TM back (hell, it's obvious at this point that LSU is ready to move on if need be)....this is obviously about TM "wanting" LSU back, and he isn't going to get it unless he does what LSU requires of him.

LSU is meeting with TM tonight to discuss his suspension and potential re-instatement down the road.

Because at this level there could be legal exposure, right ?

this is why LSU is being very careful with their wording in statements......they expected him to transfer. They don't want him part of the team, I mean they dismissed him. If they wanted him back, they would have likely just suspended him for a year...not dismissed...since he still can go to school. You guys gotta read between the lines.

And what if they did try to suspend him for a year and TM rejected that at first?

IMO, this whole thing is going way over your head.

you have no idea what you are talking about here. TM may be asking what it is he has to do....LSU may not even be interested in going down that road. There is a lot of stuff that most people don't know about, and there could be some legal issues involved in terms of how things go down....lsu is being very careful...as they should.

from a risk standpoint it makes no sense staying at LSU. Even if he adheres to whatever program LSU might work out for him (assuming they're even willing to do this), he's not going to come back and immediately be at the same level he left. And there's no way Miles would risk chemistry by immediately plugging him back in as a starter. If he doesn't adhere and is not let back on the team he's really screwed the pooch from a character standpoint and his stock from an NFL standpoint will plummet.

He can go be one of the best players in FCS, keep straight for a few months then prepare for the combine.

This sounds greaat but what about the Bo statement that TM7 definitely cant come back to the LSU football team next year. Does he absolutely not know what he is talking about?

This is what was obviously believed by all administration involved. However, as pointed out in this thread, the legal team is advising, and LSU has to be very careful about what they say, and if any legal issues could be involved. Clearly, they did not want him part of the team, and clearly they expected him to transfer....things haven't gone that way so far, and they are wise to be careful of what they say.

yeah, much like the troubled DB that left florida this past year for a d1 school...and got drafted the second round. I have already seen the draft experts weigh in and they say if he goes d1, stays clean, he won't be first round, but no reason why he won't be second round...if he stays clean.

VC if LSU washed their hands of him then they don't owe him this meeting and wouldn't give it to him. I'm not very optimistic of his return but got to admit if that were the case they wouldn't be wasting their time. They also wouldn't have refused permission of other schools to speak with him

When you add everything up it doesn't serm as obvious as you O Mighty Know It All think it does.
